| Alfie Would Be So Proud But Mom's Grossed Out. This is me Laddy. I am so proud and I had to post and tell Alfie I caught my first rat (really a mouse) today. My mommy was really grossed out and kept yelling at me to leave it alone but I was just having too much fun playing with it. It kept trying to run away but I was the winner in the end. Mommy may not be proud but I know my bud Alfie will be.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Way to go, Laddy! I almost got a pigeon the other day. Usually they cheat and fly away, but this one must have been injured, because it just stayed on the ground. I was having lots of fun barking at it and I was thinking about biting it, but Mommy picked me up and took me away. I can't wait until I grow up into a big dog. Being 4 lbs is tough sometimes.

| I know me too about growing up but I am 9 months old and weigh 3lbs 8 oz and mommy says the vet told her I might be finished growing. I am hoping for a bit more weight though. We may be small but we are tougher than them other critters.

| Alfie here I never got a chance to go hunting in my old home, my first Mum used to keep me locked in the kitchen all the time. When I was 5 My new Dad taught me what the world was like outside. I have caught 4 rats and 1 pidgeon now, Dad doesn't mind too much because all these creatures make a mess of my domain, so I help to keep it all clean for him. I love going hunting, Dad has taught me to be very quiet when we go out, I love being out in the woods with him. |

| I can't go out for a few days because Dad has caught that nasty flu. Oh well! I will just have to put my feet up and keep him company. |

| Alfie will be proud of Wicket too! He caught two mice in as many days There are lots of fields behind our house and so we get quite a lot of mice under our shed. I'm not afraid of mice but I must admit I freaked out a bit when he 'presented' me with dead ones (on my living room floor) xx

| From Samantha: You boys and your hunting! We had a mouse chewing a hole under the dresser, but I decided Mom and Nadia could handle it with a trap. In fact, I just ignored the whole thing. What else would a girly girl do? |

| I know it is hard to stop them, but it is a little risky letting them chase and catch wild animals like mice, rats, squirrels, etc..... They carry all sorts of disease, lice, fleas and other parasites (like worms!). Deer mice can also be vectors of Lyme disease and Hanta virus. They may go through several with no problems but if they run across one that is infected or infested, it could be nasty business! I would do my best to keep them from this pasttime, even though I know that was the reason they were bred in the first place.
