YT Addict | How to introduce... A new furbaby. I have decided to get Emmett a sister, so I am just wondering if there is anything special I need to do to let Emmett know that it is ok. He is so clingy and such a mamas boy that I hope he wont be too jealous. Do any of you have any advice for me?

| Congrates on your new baby!! I would hold her for a while and see how it is going between them before putting her down to be near him. Don't leave them alone together for a while for sure!! Just tell him he is a good boy if he is nice to her so he knows he is doing good Positiveness is MUCH better than anything negative!

Therapy Dog Donating Member | We just got Cosmo two weeks ago and Izzy is my baby girl of 2-1/2 and I was worried about this too but with supervision and patience there should be no major issues. When we brought Cosmo home the very first thing my husband and I did was that he held Izzy and I had Cosmo and we went into neutral territory like our back yard. We let them sniff while each of us was holding them. Then we put them down and let them sniff each other. I can't say we haven't had our tiffs..lol..but we supervise closely even still. They are getting better or I should say Izzy is getting better all the time. I can now pet and cuddle Cosmo without her going into a tizz and getting all jealous. I still have issues with toy possession though. She wants everything he has and visa versa..that's when we really supervise them. Good luck and congrats on a new baby.

YT Addict | My Emmy is two! I was going to go and get one of tortoisekeeper's puppies, but yesterday my laptop broke and now I have to buy a new one. I can't afford that and a new puppy, and I need the lap top for school. I'm so sad because I really had my hopes up. Emmy thought he was getting a sister.

Senior Yorkie Talker | My Re: Let them get to know each other on their own time. Hold one and pet the other (take turns) but one a toy buy the other a toy. Do not leave them alone together not until they get to know each other. Also let them both have time to self also. Just be slow and give them time.
