| jumping Hi Ladies my little girl has started jumping off of everything. She jumps off the couch ,chairs ,beds, and even jumped from the golf cart today . Shes my first Yorkie so I'm not that expericed with these little guys or gals. So my question is should I be trying to discourage her from jumping? I know that you guys worry more about the little ones than the bigger ones. Age 7 mths ,weighs 4'12oz and is 8in in height. I really got scared when she bailed off the golf cart .

| Mine jump off everything as well. They even jump off the back of my couch. Though they don't really jump off. Like front feet first. They leap off and drop where all four land at the same time.

| Lola was apparently born half kangaroo and nobody told us. She jumps from anything and EVERYTHING! We have pet stairs - she uses them to launch off the top step so she can get farther out in the room. She also uses the top step to jump onto brother Toby. He's usually not impressed by her athletic abilities.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I use ramps and stairs or footstools and taught them to always use these so they never try to jump off anything. Maybe you could try something like that.

| This is so funny, because I also worry about Coco. She is 5 1/2 lbs. She now jumps off the couch and sometimes the arm rest. I always freak out. I am worried she will get hurt. I tell the kids never to throw anything for her to chase when she is on the couch to discourage her jumping off. Does anyone know their limits? She is also a mexican jumping bean in her xpen. |

| I have ramps and little stools and Ben is good about using them. Rocky (my 4 1/2 month old) is not so patient. Why use the ramp and all those tiny steps, when he can take one flying leap? I have advised others to get the ramps and stools and get their dogs to use them. Seemed easy enough with Ben and Sadie. But Rocky has a mind of his own. So, I finally understand when people have posted that their pups did not want to use steps, ramps, or stools either. I do not have an answer for the rowdy ones. I am hoping Rocky will eventually use the ramps but I worry about his little back and joints until them. He looks like he is flying from one chair to another. I have got to catch him with the camera because his front legs stretch out in front and the back ones behind so that he looks like a little flying dog (or maybe Rocky the flying Squirrel). Hilarious although I little risky.

| Think goodness I'm not the only one. I have looked at the stairs especially for my bed because it is high. I just don't think she will use them. We call her are energizer bunny. She takes off leaping and jumping off anything and everything . All you see is hair. The jumping off things has increased as she has gotten older and I think she is getting braver with what she jumps off of. Is she the size that I need to be concerned with about breaking her leg? She's I guess in the middle as far as size goes.

| I'm just happy to know I'm not the only one with this issue! I felt so guilty every time I would read a post on here where someone was saying they only get hurt if they're not supervised. I can be sitting right next to Lola and can't move fast enough sometimes. I like the idea of leaping lizards!
