| Silky coat = Fluffy coat when in puppy cut? Hello, Just a quick question! It may be kind of random and/or stupid, but if a yorkie has a silky coat, will it be fluffy like a cottoney coat when it's cut in a 'puppy cut?" Or with it fall to the sides and lay straight even though it's in a 'puppy cut?' I hope I made sense. Thanks! |

| Not so much fluffy.... but wether you have a silky coat or cottony they look the same with a puppy cut.

| But then again, since silky coats don't tend to matte, there's no need for a puppy cut, correct? If that's true, I don't know why I didn't come to think of that in the first place. |

Ramsey's coat is silk...I cut her down in the summer just because we spend a great deal of time outdoors and it's hot. Any way...it does not lay the same way as my cottony boys. They literally look like puppy coats.
