| changes in color how long does it take before you know what color your pup will be? does the fur change color as it gets longer? my son wants to keep chewie in a puppy cut, but i would like to see what he looks like with it long. i think if we were to give him a hair cut now he would look white and apricot! his papers listed him as blue and tan. his photos in the gallery he is black and tan. on his back is the bluish silver but on his head he looks like he needs a dye touch up it is almost white |

| They all change colors differently, Bailey is 15 months old and STILL has alot of black on his back. But I can tell the roots are the blueish silver.. I have read ,by the time they are 2 -they should be their adult color, but most change alot quicker than that.

| I know the feeling! Right now, Kacee is changing colors and her back is turning blue, but the tips still have the black! Her head is turning a kind of pale gold even tho it looks white in the pics I took. I did have a puppy cut done on her early on and then last time I forgot to tell her not to cut her eyebrows and face, because I was playing with other doggies and she cut it. But I'm letting it grow out and I suppose after the blue gets far enough down, then I'll have the black cut off. Actually, it's kind of pretty in the sun. The colors all together look pretty good!
