| Any RULES you've changed for your Yorkie? How many of you had certain rules ,, then you got your Yorkie and that all changed? Mine was " Noone is going to feed him people food" - ya well, he is the BIGGEST BEGGER, I have EVER seen,, he gets a little here and there. And I hated that people crated their dogs,, thought it was cruel... Well Bailey loves his crate, goes in even when he doesnt need too. And I use to buy average, cat food,,, until I found YT,,, now I buy the best food for my pets. How about you,, any rules changed since you got your Yorkies

| Rules?!? Oh, yeah, I remember rules ... they applied to our children and still apply to the grandchildren?? Are those the kind of rules?? Yeah, sure, we got rules ... rules like, we "hang" on our tiny edge of the biggest bed made so as to not disturb the "Queen Bee" at night? WE have lots of rules ... the only one who doesn't is Toto!!!!

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I think I've changed more than anyone you could find on YT! We have a lab who was not even allowed in my bedroom....well Tucker sleeps on my bed! No dogs on the furniture? Ha! He picks his seat first! I swore if the dog peed on my carpet once he was gone.....my house is a litter box. (though he does seem to be getting better lately). Why spend money on expensive dog food and quality treats? Yeah, right. I spend more on food for him (and now our other pets) then I do on myself! Toys all over the house. He has a bigger wardrobe than I do! And you know what? he's worth every penny I spend. I love that little guy with all of my heart! Darn that Megan! She didn't sign off last night, so I just posted under her. lol, oh well...people will think she didn't like dogs before Tucker! Ha, serves her right for not logging off....Teri88

I also luv how they HOG the bed, and rather than Wake them,, ( cause they have SUCH a rough day ahead) we lay awake, or cramped, or with a big kink , somewhere,,, so they can sleep! What is wrong with US??!!

| I too vowed to not feed Baby any people food, but she was just so cute, and it was always just a little piece....now if I don't give her something she lets out this really pitiful little whine/sigh. She even knows that if i am getting a little piece of something, like taking a bite and leaving just a little bit, that it is going to be hers. She also tries her tricks to get a treat even without a command. I love her so much. She is my Baby! |

| I agree with everything that was said already. I started having rules that lasted about 1 day. Then they went right out the window. Now we have are rules FROM Mac & Mellie. Basically they can do anything they want and I will love them to death. See I know how to follow THEIR rules.

| Rules? After living with Muffin for 14 years, the only rule that applied was to make her happy and love her as much as possible and the same rule applies to Kacee.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I don't think I broke any...but Chanel and Cheri sure did create a bunch - this is the Tip of the Iceburg...I think they would be in this order Rule 1. Mom will jump and ask how high when we want her to Rule 2. Mom will have NO SOCIAL LIFE Rule 3. Mom will plan her necessary activities around US Rule 4. Mom will feel MAJOR Guilt if she is away from us Rule 5. Mom will not sleep late on any morning - IF we're up - she is too Rule 6. Mom will only shop for us - she has everything she needs I really think they have this list hidden in the toybox too |

| Sully doesn't physically beg.....just with his eyes....and the rule still IS "no people food whatsoever" but, it has been known to "acccidentally" get dropped on the floor from time to time. My cat also gets premium food now. I was giving her pretty good food, but like you, once I read things on here, now only the best of the best will do. Sully was very strictly in his crate during his training period. Now that he's fully housebroken, we took his crate apart. and bought him pillows to sleep on instead. Well, we let our friends borrow our crate for a while for their puppy and when they returned it to us, Sully woudn't come out! I realized that that was HIS HOUSE and how dare I take it apart again. So, we still have his little house together and he loves spending time in there. I'm sure there are other rules like you said but I'll have to think on it for a few more mins.

| After about a month the "she'll never sleep in my bed" rule went out the window - along with me being able to sleep how I want. I never thought something so small could hog a queen size bed and leave mom to hang off the edge Also the people food rule has bent. Maddie will occaisionally get a people food treat - but after she has eaten puppy food - no substitutions
