| Just registered to yorkie talk Hi everyone! My name is Shannon and I recently adopted a 3lb 11oz yorkie puppy. He is 4 months and his name is Winston. As a new mom I am always googling information on his breed and to make sure he is not abnormal hahah. He is fighting off kennel cough so he does a lot of sleeping and playing with my cat. He also just realized how fantastic people food is thanks to my husband and now he wont eat his puppy food. Today's mission is to go find a wet food to mix in with his dry food so he will eat again! I wonder about his big floppy ears but I have his breeder registration. Either way I love him and wouldn't change him Does anyone elses yorkie have long yoda ears? haha |

| Hi! Welcome!! Would love to see pictures of your cutie. You can always trim the hair on his ears to encourage them to stand up, if you don't want them to flop. I think Yorkies are cute either way!

| Welcome Welcome...I am also new here. My Sprocket also has large ears. His are standing up. The breeder shaved his ears before I brought him home. His ears are larger than his brothers or sisters and most Yorkies I have seen but they are part of his CHARM!!! They make him extra special..you'll see..

| Yah his big ears are endearing. I was considering shaving them to make them stand up because I just realized they arent as big as the hair makes them look. He is still scared at the groomers though so I dont want to really freak him out. But its so funny to watch him run with his big ears flopping behind. Yankerrose how old are your yorkies? |

| I was going to say that too. Pixel's ears were usually floppy or 1 up and 1 down (looked really cute/funny) until he turned about 7 months old. I had heard about trimming them, but I actually liked the floppy look. Now they stick straight up and are HUGE. Thinking I should have named him Radar. lol Love the little guy though Your "floppy-eared" baby is adorable!! Last edited by tonyag9; 07-17-2009 at 10:39 AM. |
