| Actually taking a vacation... Just a small one, but we're going to Amelia Island to the beach for 4 days! Here's the kicker! My son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren are coming to the house to take care of Bernie, Baxter and Bella. Isn't that wonderful? I would never ever take them to a kennel, and they've never been without us, so we haven't been anywhere since we got them 18 months ago. I hope I'll be ok. So excited we get to go I just had to share. I'm gonna miss 'em, but the beach will be nice.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Have a great time!!! I just went on our first vacation in almost 30 years to Arizona and I was so not looking forward to going and leaving my babies. I had the best time and they did fine at home with my dtr and my nephew and sister came when she was working to help out!! So go and enjoy and your babies will be fine and happy to see you in a few days!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Denise, GOOD for you two! Isn't it awful to leave them? I just hate it, it's so hard. But you're lucky - you have family near you who can trust will care for them as you would. Have FUN! It's so great to see your face.

| It's so wonderful that your family will be able to stay with them while you enjoy your vacation! It's hard enough being away from them without leaving them with someone you don't really know. Have fun!!

| Hope you have a great vacation! I know you will be thinking about how much your puppies would love to romp on the beach though. I went on a short trip when my YT was only 3 months old. She stayed at my daughter's house. My daughter has a Shih-Tsu and Abby loved playing with her (only problem was at bedtime I think). My daughter sent me pictures and videos on the cell phone so I was assured that Abby was having a good time too. Maybe your son can keep you updated that way. |

| Thanks all! I guess it was silly to share that I'm getting away from the house for a few days. I'm just so dang excited! And I won't have to worry about the babies, that's the best part. Wish they could go, but they can't.

| I won't put mine in a kennel either and my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren come to our house to stay also. Have a great time. Hopefully I'll get to go somewhere soon. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Have a wonderful vacation! Sounds so nice. It's so nice to have family that can help out isn't it? My older kids watch Roxie for me and when they are gone we watch their dogs (somehow we do it way more then they do lol). I still worry but I know she's ok. They'll even sleep in my bed with her! My 13 year old says I worry more about Roxie then I do him. Not true, it's a different kind of worry.
