The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | Unbelievable! As most of you know, I lost my precious and muched loved Max due to a heart attack on 6/1. It has only been Misty, my yorkie, and Mazie, my cocker spaniel, and me. A friend of mine stopped by last night with a puppy in her arms. I was shocked when she put that puppy in my arms and she told me it was mine. She and a couple other friends decided that I needed a puppy because I had been isolating myself after Max died and when I did talk on the phone, I was always talking about Max. I had been thinking about getting another Yorkie but my friends wanted me to have something other than a Yorkie so I wouldn't compare a new dog with Max. So I now have a 8 week old 1 1/4 pound white maltese puppy. I have even broken my naming of dogs with a letter "M", and have given her the name Cassie. She is adorable, follows me everywhere. Last night she even slept up by my pillow just like Max did. The other dogs are even starting to play with her a little. She's so funny and adorable that I even caught myself laughing. Whoever said that dogs are the best medicine they're right.

| What great friends you have! And congrats on your new addition! They really do help us out in ways that are unexplainable. My mom was going through chemo and my aunt bought her a s**tz-zu puppy and we called him her little chemo buster! Congrats on your new girl!

Thor's Human Donating Member | Congratulations on your new addition! Have you considered getting pet health insurance for your pups, or starting an emergency fund? I remember you mentioning you had limited funds before, and this could help you be certain that your pets can get any care they need in the future.
