| Ruby Cupcake At Six Months! She is now six months and weighs 5lbs. Something is happening that made me mad. One of her ears as you can see in the picture is now floppy and it was never this way before. I don't like it this way. So can any one give me advise on what to do they were just perfect for the past five months and suddenly it just started flopping. I reshaved them like I regularly do but so far it is the same. Am I going to have to shave it all again and retape it. I really don't want to do this again as her coat is now so pretty and she would look acward. The little girl in the pictures is my nise. Hope you like them. |

| By the way these do her no justice I hate when she looks to be totally different than she really is. These take charm and beauty from her. Poor thing has no idea. I am sure several of you out there have this same problem. |

| You can try (no guarantees) to shave all of the hair on the inside of the ears and the upper third on the outside of the ears and trim along the edge of the ears. If that doesn't help, you could try using tape (what is it everyone uses? Masking tape or surgical tape???) cut to the shape of the ear (a V-shape) and put a little piece of cardboard in the middle to hold the ear up. How old is she? If she's teething, that is probably why. Kacee is having the worst time teething of any lil doggie I've ever had and I don't think her ears will ever stand, even though both of her parents ears stood up! It's not a big deal to me. I'll love her however she is.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | When Chanel was little - her ears went up and down a few times - they stood on their own with no taping - I wouldn't worry about it too much but I do agree with shaving them a bit more - If they're going to stand - they will ! |

| Adorable pics, Chanel is the same age, but has finished teething, her ears never went floppy, but i know in some cases they do, shaving will help them to stand again.

| How Sweet! I wouldn't worry too much...I do know that teething can cause some of that... But..looking at them..the flop isn't bad..you can see that it can go right back up! Oh...by the way.......She is sooooooo Cute! I love her face!

| She's a real beautie no matter what! Since she is teething right now, that is taking a lot of calcium away from her little body... losing her baby teeth, building new ones. Since her ears were both standing before, they will most likely pop back up again. Just keep the hair trimmed a little to keep the extra weight off (don't worry- the hair on their ears grows like crazy! I wish the hair on their bodies would grow out as quick as it does on their ears!!!) Keep massaging them whenever you get a chance and maybe add just a little bit of additional calcium to her diet. A spoonful of yogurt or cottage cheese is an easy way to boost her calcium intake. |
