| Baby wipes/ Puppy wipes??? What do you use them for, when it comes to your yorkie? I noticed the thread that they are used ALOT for our furbabies. I hope I don't sound silly for asking

| Hi, I use the puppy wipes on my Abby's bottom when and if she has loose poops.(Sorry, I don't mean to be graphic). I want to make sure her bottom is clean and no poop is sticking to her hair.

| Yes, I also use baby wipes for Lucy's butt-tidy. But I also use them for washing her face and generally keeping her fresh - and they work well for eye-boogers, too. (But be sure to get unscented ones).

YT 1000 Club Member | I priced them at the pet store yesterday and OMG are the doggie ones way over priced. Just use the unscented baby wipes like Darlene said...saves $$. I like the idea of wiping the paws after being out on the bike path. You just never know who or what spit or elimininated etc. All kinds of things you can't see out there. It bothers me to think of Roxie licking her feet after that. I know you can't keep them free of everything but I can try lol! Lots of good uses for them.

| Thanx for all the replies. I understand now. I use cotton balls for the eye boogers and his bum does not get poop on it.

| I bought some Pet Wipes at Petsmart a few weeks ago and I love them. They're nice if they get some dirt on their paws or if their faces get smelly or dirty from outside - they smell nice!

| Actually, I don't spend the money on either type of wipe. Remy has his own towels and washcloths that I use for his wipedowns. He has a sanitary groom which really helps minimize issues with his private parts. I will wash his paws if he has gotten into something strange while outside, and I have to wash his face after he eats his yogurt - he manages to get it all over himself! Warm water, a teeny dap of his shampoo to make suds (if needed) and a thorough spot rinsing does the trick. |
