| What do you do with? The hair that grows in the corner of their eyes? Stormy's hair in the corner's of her eyes are in a weird stage right now, they are "fanned" out. I am tempted to cut them but I would like to possibly grow it out and down the size of her nose? Or would that hair go up into a topknot? Any suggestions! Here's some recent pictures! And you can tell what I mean, I just don't know what to do with it! |

| Well, in this stage it is very tempting to cut it, buuuuuut, when it grows out longer it will sit down the side of the nose. I used to cut it on Uni, but now that it's long I don't even have to worry about it. I think grow it out, you will see what I mean. But yes, k9trainer is right, during this phase, if it gets in the eyes it can promote an infection. Be on eye booger detail 24/7! LOL

| I'd let it grow out. then like uni said, it will be growing down the snout and and past her mouth before you know it. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | Thor's hair is finally growing out. It's so cute! He went through an extremely awkward phase where his nose hair was sticking straight up and his bangs were covering his eyes. He walked around completely blind for six weeks, basically. I take him to a really good groomer, and he got a great cut. I think some of it is "training" the hair correctly to grow up the nose, while other hairs grow to the side and eventually are heavy enough to fall down as whiskers. Also, I would just wet Thor's hair down with a little water so he could see. Stormy is looking so great! She is such an inspiring dog.

| gunnar is in the same situation. the groomer shaved that area. I'm letting it grow out. I look closely at pictures at older dogs and saw that that hair grows down the sides. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what and how much hair goes in the top knot. Gunnar has enough hair for a short one. he looks like Pebbles! my DH & son thinks it's stupid. I love it! Donna

| i say grow it out. My Maddie is also is at that stage. I took her to groomer who is actually from YT and she actually thinned it out for me so it does not look as thick while it grows. She did a great job! Im not as tempted to cut it anymore lol..... |
