| agression well gatsby is 7mounths old now and i find myself in a dilemna he is becoming very agressive and the vet has tried on several times to get me to concider breeding because he is so pretty and has good bones and joints a lot of the yorkies in my area are badely breed but they are also very popular i drove four hours to get him from a breeder i liked. but back on topic even if i wanted to get him fixed he is soo sensetive to medication that im afraid he wont wake up he isent that small 5.5 pounds but after a routine vaccine he had to be admitted over night because he had a allergic reaction to not only one of them but two dose enyone have eny suggestions on how to calm him down or should i just wait until he is a littel older before i freak out. just incase enyone was intrested the big dog we had is now living with a very nice woman who is traning her as a therapy dog we wear told that she is doing great all she needed was something more to occupy her time so all well that ends well with that story thanks in advance for the advice on agression |

| Sorry it takes me so long to reply but i don't have internet at home. by aggression I mean he will be possessive of everything in the house from his toys to the blanket on my roommates bed he will growl and yip at you if you get to close and he will do this even to me he has at times even niped at my roommate when she tryes to pick him up he dose not however do enyof this if my younger simblings are visting(9years old and 15 years old)he also will hide things like keys in his bed and get mad and growl and bark and get down on the floor and and latch on to our pants i know that thease are signs of trying to play but he goes for a hour walk in the morning and then another when i get home in the evening and im only gone for two to four hours at a time.i have never had a dog before and am at a be was told that the loss barking and growling could just be him being being vocal for no reason again i worry that im overreacting but if he is bing agressive i dont want to miss the warning signs |

| My Sophie is 7 months also and when she gets growly and barky I think it's because she plays too hard sometimes and gets too tired so she needs a puppy nap. Sometimes it's good to make them rest a little bit because they use up so much energy playing and running around. Sometimes when they are overtired they tend not to listen well and will get possessive of their toys. A nap usually does the trick for Sophie. After a short time out she's her cuddly self again. | According to our vet, when Max was seven months old, he was an adolescent. Are you sure he is not testing you? Maybe he want's to be "leader of the pack". |
