YT Addict | 1 or 2 Yorkies...How many Yorkies should I have My Harley is 9 months old and I am seriously thinking about getting another Yorkie. Harley is quite a handful but has just stole my heart. I wanted to check with those of you that have multiple Yorkies to see if you think it is much harder having more than one. I want to make the right decision for me and Harley. I know its a lifelong committment. Any suggestions or comments on having 1 or 2 Yorkies? The good? the bad? the ugly? |

| I have 2 dogs ( not yorkies but still ) and Im so much happier with 2 dogs and so is my first pup. He always has someone to play with now ! And whenever im out of the house someone is always there with him! If you dont have an extremely busy life two dogs are fantastic!

| Its more expensive, thats the only bad I can think of. I really dont think its any harder having two than one except you cant put two in a carrier and take them places with you. On the positive side they would have companionship and you would have 2 furbabies to love

| Imo.... the more the merrier!! The only real concern you have to mull over is can you afford to keep them all healthy; vets bills, food, vitamins, supplements etc. |

| Oh, honey.... you can NEVER have too many Yorkies (as long as you can financially provide for them)...

| We have two and I recommend at least that many. Yorkie's are social little ones and they need a playmate IMO. Laddy was such a handful until we got Lolita. Now he has someone to play with when ever he wants (He wears mom and dad out fast ) In general he just seems so much happier. I am not sure I could of done another puppy at the same time but Lolita is 5 and a rescue and has been a dream come true.

| I really think having more than one is better for THEM. Someone mentioned cost, and that's the biggest factor for most. I love having all mine around!!

| Having two has been a blessing for us and it's been great for the dogs. There's never a dull moment with these two little bundles of energy. I just would wait until your first one was potty trained before you took on another one. I think it's easier training one at a time and they need undivided attention. And of course the extra expense of vet bills is a big consideration. Other than that, having more than one is yorkie heaven!

Senior Yorkie Talker | If you have two, they will live longer and be healthier due to the exercise they get and having a companion. Yes, it is more expensive and the daily brushing becomes time consuming, but it is worth it.
