| Questions to ask a new groomer I'm trying to find a new groomer for Rika. So far I've taken her to the vet hospital I use and wasn't entirely thrilled. Service was nice but I just wasn't 100% happy with the haircut. I'm going to actually start calling grooming salons and stuff this week but I'm not sure what questions to ask. What are some suggestions?

| First I would ask if they use cage dryers...if so move on to finding another one. Also ask if they have experience with Yorkies. Ask if you can stay. Ask if you can stop in and look at their business. Thats all that I can think of, but I am sure some of the other members might have some more suggestions for you. Good Luck!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I Agree on the dryers !! I went INTO some grooming salons before making an appointment with Chanel - we just casually walked in and looked around and I watched how SHE reacted - on a few she was scared - on one - she was Fine and I picked THAT one. The lady did a pretty good job till about the 3rd time then missed her whole back end....so I had to bring her back the next day - THAT was the day I started doing my girls myself But -- Experience cutting YORKIES is a big plus - lots of groomers don't know a yorkie cut - I would bring a PICTURE of what you want and written directions |
