| It's Official . . .Rhianna LOVES to swim! Yesterday was the first time we utilized our pool since the weather here in CT has been nothing but depressing . . .I actually had to get propane for the pool heater this year because it's been so chilly and cloudy and rainy. This is Rhianna's first Summer with us, so we introduced her to the pool and she LOVED it! My husband and son were swimming so I took up Brody and Rhianna on the deck (Brody knows all too well that he HATES water) When Rhianna saw her Daddy in there she was tugging at her leash to get closer to the pool (she would of took a running dive if she wasn't on her leash) So my husband took her in with him . . .holding her so her face/ears wouldn't go underneath the water . . .She swam a whole lap around the pool . . .got out, and wanted to jump back in . . .Brody was looking at her like she was a nut job . . . So, off to Petco I go to get her a life jacket . . . I guess my husband has found his new pool buddy . . .

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | oh you are so lucky. I was going to introduce Tia when she was a puppy to the bath tub with me in it lol. She is almost a year now and I would love to see her swim but she hates the water. As we have had some lovely weather here in the uk (and been promised a heatwave, yeah right lol) I went and brought a kiddy paddling pool but the only way to get her in it is to put her fav toy in it lol.Its funny I couldn't get my previous dog a border collie out of water. One day she will get the confidence Im sure . Have fun

| I'll post pics later today/tonight . . .I went to Petco during lunch and bought the life jacket . . .unfortunately they didn't have that pretty pink one . . .it's flourescent orange . . . I just bought the one since she loves the pool . . .Brody was hysterical though because when my husband was holding him, all he was doing was slowly paddling with his front feet and left his back feet hanging . . .LOL

| I found out Bella likes to swim the hard way. We were walking along a trail that has a decent size creek. Our bigger dog Yogi jumps right in and Bella decided to follow him. She LOVED it!! Sha LOVES the sprinklers too especially attacking the sprinkler heads. Thank goodness our sprinklers dont spray too hard. |

| Finally . . .I was able to get pics! Ok, well it's been a while and I promised pics . . . Today was the first decent day to get in the pool with daddy . . . First up is Brody giving Rhianna a good luck kiss, 2nd is Rhianna and Daddy, and more Rhianna . . .and last but not least . .. Brody got into the action too . . .I think Rhianna liked it more without her swimmy . . .but she trudged through the pain . . .

| Our Maggie has never been in a pool or bathtub, but we have a small fountain outside and sometimes she will jump into the bottom part and run around in it. It is only about 4-6 inches deep. |

YT 500 Club Member | I brought Alfie and Rosie a paddling pool too as the weather has been getting hotter asI wanted something for them to cool off in. Rosie was in before the water started and then woulnt come out as it filled up, she was fascinated by the water coming out of the hose. Alfie kept his feet dry wandering around trying to get Rosie to come out to play. I'd throw toys in which Rosie would fetch, not his nibs. Then last week he asked to be let out, as I watched he circled around the edge trying to get up enough courage, taking a step then backing off. Then very gingerly he tip-toed in and across before jumping out. No they both go in quite happily, great for them not so great for the carpet. |
