| I want another Yorkie I guess we all do huh? I got Snickers about a year ago( he's 18 mo now) and have decided I would like another one to join him. I was thinking about a female but I was told a neutered male (like he is) would work too?? Has anyone added another dog successfully? I have a 6 yo cat too who gets along with Snickers well. Any suggestions?? I don't want to be sorry!! |

| Have you considered a rescue? Check out the thread about all of the beautful rescued yorkies. There are so many in the shelters even around your area and just not enough homes to go around. Here are mine and they are all rescues. Doodlebug and Bogey are both Morkies and Pebbles is Yorkie. You should check out the Rescue forum there are so many posted there all the time and many are being PTS because of lack of space.

| Get another! And if they are both neutered, a boy would be ok I think! Name him Milky Way or Butterfinger or Heath or Reeses or Skittles! or if its a girl names her Baby Ruth! haha

| i think getting a rescued one would be great! but make sure you can bring him home first, so you can make sure he's compatible with your current baby

| I'd say go for it I brought home a shih tzu pup last week. my 15 month old yorkie is adjusting extremely well with our new baby. At first it looked like Suzi was a little depressed and timid around the new baby. however, each day it has become better and better. Suzi is bouncing back to her regular self, and is accepting Miley well. Just keep in mind the expenses of a new puppy and then the grooming needs . It is a lot of fun to have 2 dogs

not ending love Donating Member | I got my first yorkie, perrito and we were fine, but i felt bad everytime i was out to work and i kept telling this to my boyfriend, then he got me Jasmin.....her first day at home perrito was little bit afraid of her for like 10 min, then they started playing and now they can't be away from e/o and I/we love our little family......it wasn't easy but I never going to regret this and now we are soooooo happy, actualy we are keeping one pup from jasmin only litter, since I got her sapyed last wek ( a boy but I soooo want to keep the girl too, but i know is just too much) And even though people call me crazy I know we gonna be just fine, but this is my last yorkie, for now, we are looking to buy a house sooo... |

| What a great idea - my family has sworn me off "S" names though since I had Sophie - Snickers and Snuggles - I love the other names though |

| Yorkies are like Potatoe Chips very Addicting! If you want another one and you can afford it? Two Yorkies are always better than one, and 3 are better than 2, the more the merrier! I have 3, I have had up to 5 @ one time. If I had the space I would have 10! Two males usually get along if the are "Nuetered/Fixed" Or a male & a female?

YT 1000 Club Member | I get the bug for a 2nd one after seeing everyones puppy pics. I have always been a softey for babies lol! Then I talk myself out of it. It's nice for allot of reasons to have just the one. Maybe someday I will do it.

| i I'm getting the itch for another pup too and I've only had Cohen for 6 months! Eeek! I really want to get a girl. I tell myself that if I have one boy and one girl I will be set and my Yorkie craze will be over...but I don't think that's true!! So yeah..I guess what I'm saying is: go for it!!!!!!!

| I would definately get another! I think they are happier with another of their own. You still get all the loving -- actually twice the loving -- and they have constant companionship. It is hilarious to watch them play and so sweet to watch themcurl up together! I think either sex will work out just fine. When you find the right pup, you will know it!
