| Ears standing up... Is it bad that my Marley's ears are not standing up? We taped them 2 times when she was smaller but they kept falling down. I think she is wayy adorable right now and like her ears just the way they are. I guess i'm just wanting to know if it's "okay" for them not to stand up... |

| I think Yorkies w/hanging ears are adorable! Some cannot stand cuz the leathers of the ear is too heavy, or it can be hereditary. Either way...they're all cute!

| breeders don't breed for floppy ears. however, some won't stand up because they are too heavy and etc. some people like floppy ears. they are cute. |

| So weird that I find this post today! We were just noticing that Allie's left ear now stands up on its own! Her right one is still VERY floppy. And she won't put the left one down!

| my Bella's ears were floppy for a good while after I got her...and the one stood up and the other was still flopping over...i used to rub the ear a couple times a week...just to see if maybe that will help her ear stay up....but probably a month after her first ear stood up...the next one stood up too! :-) so, it might take time..but i LOVE floppy ears on Yorkies too!! too cute! |

| Sometimes it helps to shave the top third or so of the ears. After a few days they may stand up. That happened with Maggie. Otherwise, if the ears are not going to stand up, then that's just the way it is. When we first got Maggie, her ears had packaging tape glued on with crazy glue on the insides of her ears. When that finally fell out, we didn't put anything else in her ears and they started to flop over until we had the groomer shave the tops of her ears. After a few days they came up. |

| Ramsey's ears are still floppy. He's 5 months now. He has his first grooming this week. I've been told that if the hair is trimmed on the ears, they might stand up. Don't know if that's true or not. I kind of hope they don't. I like them floppy. |

| My little Zena had one floppy ear at two months. My partner massaged the floppy ear one night and it stood up the very next day and has remained so. ~CD |
