| What does a cottony coat look like grown out? Laci has a very cottony coat, Id like to see a picture of one grown out !! Her hair is really puffy it looks like she is fat because it doesnt lay flat, Im just wondering if that will change when her puppy coat is gone... I really thought she was going to stay dark but I am noticing her fur on her belly and behind her front legs like her shoulders is really silver!

| Laya had a very cottony coat as a puppy. I tried keeping her hair long and it would just puff out all over the place. I used everything I could think of to make it lay down. Nope wasn't going to happen! Finally when she was 5 years old I decided to cut her short and do the puppy cut thing. Lo and behold now her coat at almost seven years old has turned much silkier. Now she is silver as all the black coat was cut off. I still keep her in a semi puppy cut which is easier for us. Your babies coat may change too. Good luck.

| Oh I also have to say that the minksheen shampoo seems to have made a huge difference.

| Both of the yorkies in my avatar have cottony coats but I keep them cut short to prevent tangles

| Lolita's coat is super thick but we don't have an issue with tangles I brush her in the morning and at night real well and we never have a mat so I think maybe its just a thick silky coat. Maybe you will get lucky and that's what your little one will have also.

| Isla's cottony coat made her look like a little mop when it was all grown out. When she ran or barked she reminded me of the stereotypical little cartoon dog that would bounce and the hair would flair out. Funny! But when summer came this year she instantly started to get snarls and knots and I had to give her a puppy cut in order to get them out. I really do like them long--cute!--but it sure is easier with less bathing with it short. It's all with how much you can keep up with the brushing if you want it long, and even then it's still tough!

| My first yorkie, Chipper, had a cottony coat. I had him for 13 years and I always kept him in the puppy cut. If I tried to grow it he would look like a Chia pet. With the puppy cut, he looked like a puppy till the day he crossed over the rainbow bridge.

| Here is the newest pic I could find before she got her puppy cut. She's sitting down and her face is a mess, but maybe you could see her hair a bit.

| It's not a full coat, but... Here's Momo, he's got a very cottony coat & it's grown more since this pic was taken. It makes him look chubby! I keep his stomach area completely shaved to help keep him cooler during the warmer months. Can't see it in this pic, but when he rolls over for a belly rub...he's naked down there!

| Winston has a cotton coat and I do keep it long...around his head, shoulders and half way down his back lays pretty good...but he does still have a very fluffy butt. He is 5 years old, so I doubt if his coat will change very much more. I love his little fluff butt!!!
