| when chloe wa a puppy she kept chewing my baseboards and wicker baskets but she stopped doing that so much at 7 months. I dont know why they like wood so much. I guess it feels good on thier teeth.

| It works the antiperspirant will work. I saw it on the "You Good Dog You" program about a year and a half ago, and thank god that I did as my two yorkie pups were chewing everything that was wood. Even my brand new coffee table got hit by them. I tried it and have told any number of people and it has worked for all of them. I only had to apply it once and after one taste they have never tried it again, only wish I had seen the show prior to the coffee table LOL. |

| Same here.. Desi is 9 months and NOW is when she is chewing my wicker baskets, my base board, my sheetrock.. I don't know what happened You would think that she would have done this when she was younger. Anyway, I am spraying bitter apple where I see her chewing but she just moves on to another wall. |

I tried bitter apple didn't work for Mollie. I will try the clear stick deodorant. I hadn't heard that before but, I will try it. Since we are keeping one of Mollie's babies. I definitely don't want him chewing on the wood trim on my furniture or on any of my tables. Thanks for the tip.

| Bia chews on wood and PAPER all the time!! I always wonder if she swallows it because I know it must hurt going down. I try and move everything out of reach for her that she can chew, but a lot of my sons toys are made from wood, and so she will still a block or something and hide it from me, then chew on it under my bed. I just found out her little hiding spot today when she was no where to be found. I also found all the stolen chewed up toys too! I really wonder what it is, I have never seen any other dogs chew wood or even paper. IS it harmful? |
