| Making my own clothes... I am just interested in making my own clothes for my dogs. I am not savvy in sewing (but I do have a machine). I am just wondering if there is any tips for cute fabrics, any instruction on making my own, and any other tips would be greatly appreciated. If anyone knows how to make your own bows too, I would appreciate the help! Thanks!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Being that you're new to making clothing it might be best for you to go to the fabric store and find a pattern. I know Simplicity and McCalls both offer dog dress patterns. The pattern (backside) will give you fabric hints, suggestions, how much fabric to buy and then simple instructions are included. Good luck!

| Thank you! I love to put mine in clothes and I keep looking on here and it looks like a lot of people make their own and it makes them so unique!

You're right, by sewing your own, you'll have one of a kind designs and can get creative!

| I'm getting ready to give it my first go too. It doesn't look too hard but tiny stuff is always more challenging for me to sew. I have no pointers for you since I'm just winging it but good luck to you! |

| I've been sewing for years, and the best advice I can give you is, be patient! If you start to get frustrated, walk away for a bit, and come back later. Seriously, when you're trying something new, and it's not coming out right, if you continue, it will just get worse. I've encountered problems before, and after sleeping on it, I've come up with the best solutions. Good luck! Post pics when you're done!!!!
