| Riot got neutered today We just picked him up from the vet...I was so worried all day! He seems soo groggy and out of it but I think he's doing ok...gave him some Nutrical and got some canned food but he's not interested. He got neutered, microchipped and had 3 teeth pulled. They're huge!!

| Males and females are usually neutered/spayed around 6 mos of age. If they haven't lost their baby teeth and the perms are in, the Vet will usually pull them while they are under to prevent them from having to return and go under yet another time, it's safer to do it all at once. I can't tell you about chipping, I haven't looked into it yet. |

| I agree with what Camille said. With the microchip, my vet uses Home Again. It's $49.99, and they pay the registration fee as well as the first year's fee. They give you the Home Again tag for their collar as well as engrave a metal one for free. I don't know about any other places though.

| Our puppy Ryder was neutered in mid-April. He acted slow after I picked him up, but by the time he got back to his own element he was just like himself again. He had two teeth pulled while he was under as well. How old is your little guy? Ours was six months old and that could have been why he recovered so fast. Best wishes to your boy! I was a wreck before I brought mine in as well, but we have a great vet.
