| Jackson was 9 weeks old when I brought him home too and he started humping the first day I had him! LOL. If he's trying to hump YOU in any way, I'd put a stop to it immediately. Even though he's just a young pup, lay down the laws right away, humping is usually a sign of dominance and can get way worse. I always let Jackson hump his little white stuffed bear he liked because I personally didn't see the harm in it.... but he was neutered a little over a month ago and the humping has stopped significantly. He rarely humps his bear anymore lol.

| My gandma's fixed Shih Tzu drags his huge bear out to the middle of the livingroom and humps it nonstop in front of company. It makes everyone incredibly uncomfortable, but if you make him stop, grandma gets upset because she thinks its mean to make him quit because it's only natural and he isn't hurting anything . What part of humping an inanimate object is natural? I dont care if she lets him do it all day, it really drives my uncle crazy though!

| Prince never humped anything. He is a year old now and he will lay on his side and hump one of those big long dog toys from time to time (like twice a month) It's funny because he is not very sexual and if he sees me watching he will stop. lol. My friends male yorkie was humping at 12 weeks. She would say No or stop firmly and then distract him with a toy... 9 weeks is very young though. At 9 weeks Prince just slept all day lol. |

| It's normal canine behavior. If his testicles haven't dropped, allow him to continue as it does assist in getting them where they're suppose to be. Once they're in place, you can then stop the behavior......that is unless you're planning to use him for stud.

You just brought him home, correct? He is so tiny, but it is all natural, and normal behavior. Just do not let him do that to you. female dogs also hump . My Suzi does, she like to on a handmade afgan blanket!

Thanks Everyone! Yup, Bailey is a humpster for sure, I'm not quite sure how to get him to stop doing it to me..just move him away if he starts doing it? My BF's female dog always tries to hump his other female dog, it's really quite strange but we just ignore her

| As I said above, if his testicles have not dropped this aids in getting them there. Otherwise when it's time to nueter, it'll have to be done surgically through the abdomen. The behavior can be corrected after nuetering. If she plans to breed the dog, then telling him no is not a good thing, because when the time is right he won't perform.
