| Geita and I are so excited! New Rescues! I couldn't find the rescued Yorkie thread or I would be posting this exciting news there. So the other day I was talking about how excited Geita gets when she is around other Yorkies. But around here we very rarely get Yorkies into rescue. Well, I spoke too soon. Not one but two Yorkie rescues are sitting in my living room right now! I just picked them up an hour and a half ago. So far all we know about them is what the breeder told us. The little boy is 4 yrs old and his daughter, the little girl is 2 yrs. old. They have been in there breeding cages since they were old enough to breed (whatever age the people decided that was). And the little boy has in cataract in his right eye. They are both very scared, but the boy is more outgoing and he is very protective of the little girl. The little girl is so scared that she won't even look at anyone. She just keeps her back turned, it's so sad. We are going to wait until tomorrow to give them their baths and I will try to groom them up a little and take more pictures. For now they are camped out on the monster dog bed in front of the fireplace. By the way, I havn't come up with names yet so I am definitely open for suggestions!

| New pics after bathtime... I decided to name them Capt.Jack and Sparrow . Geita is having a blast, she just LOVES LOVES LOVES getting to play with Yorkies. I think it's comforting to Jack and Sparrow to see Geita getting loves from me and being so eager to be near me. They don't seem as freaked out anymore. Anyway, Capt. Jack is pictured first and Sparrow next, and then I snapped a pic of them fast asleep on the couch. They are like little conjoined twins, one doesn't move without the other. It's so sweet the poor babies.

| Awww...they are precious! If you don't mind sharing, I'm curious why the Breeder surrendered these two? I'm surprised they look as remarkably well cared for, for being Breeder Dogs who have been kenneled all their lives. Have you had a chance to check out their mouths for tooth decay? They may need a dental. I foster, too for YTNR...which rescue group are you fostering through? I commend you for fostering these little ones and wish you the best of luck in their adoption!

| Well, the little girl is 2yrs old and apparently only produces 1 to 2 puppies at a time. The little boy was being used to breed with poodles because he was too big to breed with Yorkies (he's about 8 pounds) and they are not breeding Yorkie Poos anymore. They are in okay shape, I have definitely seen worse. Thier nails were so long they were like sharp pointy talins. They both had heavily matted undersides and FREAKEDDDDDDDD OUT when I went to clip the mats out with scissors. ( I knew better than to get the clippers out, lol). The little boy will probably have to have some back teeth pulled, but I think the little girl just needs a supreme heavy cleaning. We are going to the vet on Monday morning to get exams, shots, heart worm tests, micro chips, and appointments for spaying and neutering. Capt. Jack is hoseing my house down like it's on fire. Neither one are socialized at all, but Capt. Jack seems more receptive. It's so cute though, when I pet Capt Jack , Sparrow will curl her lips at me and then lick Capt Jack where ever it is that I thouched him.

| They are beautiful. Hopefully, they'll come around. Have you thought about a belly band for Capt Jack to cut down on his spraying? Breeding males sure do have a bad habit of marking anything. |

| So cute!!!! Did you adopt them or are you fostering them for a rescue Hopefully the neuter will help with the marking, or you may have to get a belly band for him |

| Congratulations on your new additions. You will need to invest in belly bands because your male was not neutered, he will mark and especially being a breeder dog. Send us more pics and bless your rescue treasures. |
