| London get spayed today London is getting spayed today, I had to drop her off last night at the Humane Society again, it broke my heart to have to take her back there, not that it's a bad place because it isn't, but I'm afraid she will think we have abandoned her. Picture this: You have lived in a cage all your life with little human contact, then some angels came and took you and all the "inmates" around you. You got bathed, clipped, given shots and in one day had more human contact than you had had for the 3 years you have lived. Then a crazy lady and her daughter came to the new place and picked you up and cried and within 60 minutes you were in a new home. Then after a week you are finally realizing these people love you and you have a home. Then they take you back to the "new" place where they found you and drop you off there again. Those people put you back in a cage and you don't know what's coming next! I am so worried that London thinks we have abandoned her, I can't wait to pick her up today. London was doing so well and we finally "graduated" to puppy pads and she was actually letting me know when she had to go potty. I really don't want her surgery to set her back in her progress. I will be spending the rest of the day worrying about her. Good morning, everyone, just wanted to share my fears with people that understand. I know she will probably be okay. |

| I'm sending some thoughts and prayers your way! All of us are apprehensive when it comes time to have our pets neutered but it's very understandable for you to be concerned about how London will interpret being back at the humane society. Be sure to give London some extra kisses when she gets home!

| Sending good thoughts your way. Consider this, in just a few weeks to months London won't remember much except that something bad happened to her but she doesn't know what except when she sees a cage she gets a slight queasy feeling then she will look at you and forget again. Best wishes.............Charlotte |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I will keep London in my prayers for a safe spay and a quick recovery. She will be so excited to see you and forget all about her day there. Let us know when she gets home.

| London is home!! She is home!! and doing well. My biggest problem will be keeping her "sister" Rory from licking her incision. Thanks for all the kind words. I good thing happened too, we were in Wal-Mart looking at the doggie clothes and there was a young lady looking at the same stuff and picking some out, then we saw her in another isle looking at the dog dental stuff. So I asked her what kind of dog she had, turns out she adopted London's sister!!!!! So we have play dates planned as soon as London can run around. It was so nice to meet her and see pictures. They named her "Bella" which was one of the names we considered for London. Bella was scheduled to be spayed on Monday BUT they suspect she is pregnant. These poor babies, they think she has already had 4 or 5 litters! Now is that possible, she's only 3 years old. Anyway, I'm glad London will be able to see her sister for time to time. |
