| Last Puppy Blues Sunday, the last female in my litter was picked up and yesterday, my next to the last male puppy was picked up. The little girl went to my sister so she is still in the family although a 15 hour drive away. But I have been dreading my little male actually leaving. They had put a deposit down last week and I have been fretting since. They are 14 weeks old but he was the one I really had to nurse along and he is just the sweetest thing. So, it was very sad for me. More than a few tears... Last night the last male puppy could not go to sleep in his play yard. He would not lay in the bed in there -- just stood crying at the play yard fencing. I could not stand it and went and got him out. He slept okay along side me. But.... today, he seems lost and sad. I am trying to play with him but he barely lifts a paw to bat at a toy. This is breaking my heart. He really misses his siblings! He is sleeping on my foot now, as usual when I get on the computer. I hope he perks up soon. He still has Ben (his dad) and my Jack Russell, Candy to play with. But obviously, it is not the same for him. I need to come up with a new name for him too. Looks like I might be keeping him. I had named the other boy Simon (after Simon Baker -- The Mentalist) but was still calling the larger of the two males Bleu (for his blue yarn when they were newborns). I never intended to call any of them by their colors forever. So..... I am even thinking of using the name Simon as they are going to rename the other boy anyway. Also thinking about Riley and Bailey. Thought about Jerry too -- then I would have Ben & Jerry but that might make me hungry for ice cream all the time Maybe if I can give him the right name today, it will help perk us both up. Any suggestions?

| I love Jerry!! That is too cute....I think there is nothing wrong with ice cream cravings I can imagine how hard it is to let them go. Hopefully you both can cheer up soon. Maybe your high spirits would then rub off on him |

| Aww, I'm sorry you are both so heartbroken. Do I understand correctly? You are keeping this little guy? I like all of the names, which one seems to fit him best? Oh, and maybe pics would help us help you name him.

| I would make the absolutely worst breeder ever. I would cry whenever someone came by to look at the pups, and I would probably say, "NEVERMIND THEY'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" I'm so sorry you and your last little man are having such a sad time!

| I am going to trim his hairy little ears tomorrow so maybe I will take some new pictures then. Yes, I think I am keeping this little guy. As upset as I got over the last one going to his new home, not sure how I would handle the last puppy leaving us. My son nixed the names Riley and Bailey -- likes them better for a girl. He said maybe we should stick with car names. Ben is really Mercede's Ben and Sadie was Ben'z Mercede. I went through all the car names that came to mind and he liked Cooper. Not sure if that fits. Still mulling it over. I will get those pics up tomorrow and maybe you'all can help. I will keep Bleu in there somewhere on his registered name as that is what he started with. I better decide fast though -- today I called him Bubba -- the good ol' Southern catchall name for boys. I don't want my baby to be a Bubba.
