Thor's Human Donating Member | Weird outing with Thor today... I just had the weirdest trip with Thor today. I guess it's just one of those days, I don't know. First, I took him to a local park. It is not my favorite, because it is small and there are often a lot of big dogs there. It is, however, the closest. Today, there were a bunch of big dogs, but also a couple yorkies, so I took Thor off-leash and let him get acquainted with his cousins. A doberman came up to me and seemed friendly, but I felt like he was sort of hovering behind me. I was paying more attention to Thor so I didn't think much of it until I looked down at my jeans cuff and realize, I've been MARKED! The Dobie staked a claim and MARKED me! Unfortunately, this has happened to me before, but only at the dog shelter I volunteer at, and only with somewhat crazy dogs. The same doberman later starts to Alert on Thor, so I decide to take him out and go somewhere else. We go to a local baseball field and I'm very happy to see that no games are going on. I take Thor out and he is racing around like he is on fire. A couple comes up and compliments him on how well he is taking direction. They have two dogs with them, one big and one small. I pick Thor up to introduce him to the woman, who promptly starts touching Thor in this bizarre, intrusive way. Like, she grabbed one of his back paws and shook it vigorously. Who does that? Then she gives me this piercing look and asks me, "does he still have his balls?" Um, no? Why do you care? And why would you ask me like that? A couple baseball games start up, so I take Thor out of the field. As I am walking out, this entire team starts yelling at me to get off the field. Yes, I am getting off the field! That's why I am headed towards the only exit available! Sheesh! Finally, when I take him home and we get off the elevator, we are greeted with a blood-curdling shriek. Our next door neighbor, who has seen Thor around 12,000 times, was walking up the stairs and he barked at her. She gives me this look and apologizes in a way that clearly is not an apology and explains that he scared her. Thor, the four pound dog, whom you have met before, who has never successfully scared anyone or anything, scared you so badly that you needed to scream in your own apartment building. Maybe it's a full moon tonight or something? I know this is really random, it was just strange and kind of upsetting. Anyone else had a strange dog pee on them before? It'd be nice to know I'm not alone...

| Oooohh! Sounds like you had some day. I do believe it is a full moon Nope, never had a dog pee on me. Sorry that happened to you. If I was the owner of that dog, I would have been mortified. Then the lady at the baseball field. How goofy was that. I'll bet you and Thor (Hi Thor!) were glad to be back inside of your apartment safe and sound and away from the lunacy. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | Okay, I'm going to chalk it up to that, then! I talked to my neighbor and she said not to worry about it. I was sort of stressed about that because I don't want a complaint lodged against us, but she said there was just a lot going on at the moment and she was startled. Go away, moon! And tell Abby Thor says hi, and to keep up the good potty work!

| Full Moon + San Francisco = crazy people Gotta love the loones in SF!! By all means just let it be water rolling off your back!! I am glad Thor is okay. People are so crazy with yorkies. They think because they are little they can put their hands on our doggies! I don't think so. I always say careful, she likes to bite strangers!! I openly admit I am paranoid!! You are a strong person!! I think I would of gone home after the first incident. Yep once a dog peed on me I would be done. So you are brave !! Hang in there!! |

| I have been peed on before at the dog park. I have also seen it done to other people there, so it is not uncommon I cannot believe that the lady at the baseball field really asked if he had his balls?! Odd... Sounds like you had an odd and rough day... Look at it this way- tomorrow has to be better!

Thor's Human Donating Member | I'm so glad someone else has been peed on! Misery loves company. I guess I was lucky to be wearing jeans when it happened. It is seriously demoralizing to be marked. It's like the dog is saying to you, "as far as I'm concerned, you are a fire hydrant."

| Nope. I've never had a dog mark me like that. I've had dogs hump my leg and arm before , but that's about it. Something about my legs and arms just scream humpable. What a weird lady! I can't believe she was shaking Thor's back leg? Maybe she has a depth perception problem lol. Sunday night was the full moon ... but maybe it just carried over for you and Thor? Tomorrow will surely be better!

| This is a picture of what the moon looked like here tonight. It was an even brighter orange in real life. So maybe it was the moon...cause you really had a weird day!

| Oh gosh, S.F. I use to live in the bay area, lived most of my adult life there !A dog peeing on you is would "piss me off " it would, the smell, the moisture, ewww ewww ewww My brothers dog peed on the side of my couch and that was enough for me> GRRRR a nice couch too! However, when Suzi was a baby she peed all over my SIL , HA HA HA , that was GReat The lady neighbor in your building behaved like a moron. ANd as for trying to move out of the way from the field, people just are not nice anymore. They could see you were leaving. I'd tell them to shut the **** up . I hope a better Tusday Mondays really can suck! BTW, the weirdo asking if your dog had balls? Why does she want to see if he is used for breeding? certainly there were hidden motivations there.
