| Over amping when the weather is pretty hot say 13+ and we take harley for a run across the road to the park within 5mins he is over heatin and cant walk anymore we bring him home and he automatically will go to the bathroom sink for me to lift him up to run the cold tap on him to cool him down...what i am wondering is this a common thing with all terrier type dogs...it makes me so sad to see him that way |

| I don't know how normal that is... Jackson will tire out in the hot sun after a 25-30 minute walk, but not five mins. He spends most of his summer days outside with me too and does fine although I must say.. my dads Jack Russell could literally spend ALL day outside if she wanted but Jackson needs a lot more rests and breaks on those hot sunny days.

| i wish harley would go 20/25mins it doesn't seem worth crossing the road just to cross it back again...i think though with harley he seems to get all excited before we even get out of the door and then taking him out just adds to the excitement ...the vet said his body doesn't regulate his temp and so i was just wondering if it was a common strait as i have never seen it before in any dog |

| Couver is not very tolerant of the heat. When we go out for walks on hot days, he just wants to lay in the cool grass and not move. I try not to take him out on days where it is over 90 degrees outside. He just can't handle the heat

| I'm totally amazed that he's got the good sense to go the bathroom sink for a cool down....What a smart dog!!! But I noticed you were from Canada, and thought it was cool up there...I'm down here in S.E.Texas and I walk Apple at 7:30 a.m. & about 7:30 or 8 p.m....it's probably about 80 degrees, or so, in the evening, and she seems to be o.k. for the 20-25 minute walk, and we walk at a pretty good clip....How old is your little guy?
