| Lonely Yorkie I am a new mommy to my Yorkie Maddiline aka Maddi. I found her on the side of the highway skinny, no collar, and covered in huge ticks! Oh my goodness she was a mess! I saw her from very far away I told my husband Steve to stop, stop, I have to get her, not knowing at the time she was a girl, I said I want her I want her so he reluctantly pulled over and she lept into my arms like we were old pals. I recently gave birth to our 4th child, she was 3 months early so we had a very rocky road we lived in Columbus for 2 months we sat by her isolate religiously, we only left to grab a quick bite. So I have been battling severe depression, thats where my Maddi comes in. She has saved me, I don't know where I 'd be without her she is my guardian angel! Well since I'm new at this I am always talking to people getting advice. I heard today that you can't raise a yorkie by itself. You have to have 2 or he/she will not eat, throw up, be lonley. So my question is can that happen? My Maddi has never eaten well and seems sad, and vomits quite often. Should I get her a buddy? |

| My yorkie is almost seven and she is an only pup. She is a very happy pup and can be somewhat independent. She likes other dogs, but I think she likes being the only spoiled rotten baby. If your pup won't eat and vomits frequently, maybe you should check with the vet. I know several people who have "only" yorkies, and they seem fine. Good luck with your little one. So glad you rescued her from the roadside.

| I don't believe any of that. However my baby is almost 7 months old and is perfectly fine without a little one. And my little Jemma and I live alone. She has me and I have her. Since I had Jemma, she has vomited only twice which was when her stomach was empty. I now feed her a few morsels late in the evening and that stopped it. I hope this doesn't happen, what you have heard because Jemma and I will have a big problem. There can be only one dog and Jemma is it. There will be a lot more folks here who might disagree with me and that's ok. Many have more than 1 Yorkie. You are a God send to that little one. And I applaud you for rescuing her. No one ever looked for her? Welcome to YT Carol and Jemma |

Sure you can have just one and they will do fine. a lot of people tease and say you cant have just one, Like a potato chip you cant eat just one LOL and some if they work a lot of hours and are gone a lot they end up getting another so the one wont be so lonely by its self, But even with that you'll have to keep a good eye on them to see how they get along together and if they will be okay together before you ever leave them by them selves. How big is she? if you get one you would want them to be about the same size so one wont hurt the other while playing. have you had the little one to the vet? if shes vomiting she should be checked. these little ones cant go many hours with out food or their blood sugar will drop and you should always carry with you nutri-cal . would love to see pictures of your Yorkie. how long have you had her now? | |

| How long ago did you find your Yorkie-it could be missing its owners. As much as you are attached to this pup, did you try to find the owners? If you have had her awhile and she is still vomitting, she may need to be checked by a vet. It probably wouldn't hurt to get a check-up anyway as you don't know if she is needled and spayed. Thank you for saving her. I have one yorkie and he is very happy being an "only dog".

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | lol people only say you can't have one because they are sooo addictive. Im sure you will hit a patch when you say to yourself "shall I" lol. Tia is an only furbaby and she is 11 mths old and just fine. She gets to interact with my families dogs and is a happy little girl.
