Something to look forward to I never got a response from my landlord for my begging email to let me get a yorkie. But I went to my friend's house twice this week to see Guinness, the yorkie that I love. She let me walk her two dogs. It was very nice after rough days at work. Guinness was very happy to see me as he might have been just too excited to go for a walk. It was just nice. My friend is going home to Georgia for holidays and can bring only one dog with her. So I will watch Guinness. If I need to travel, I probably will take him with me on the plane.. so I can experience how it is like to have a dog and travel.... I am also trying to get a driver license... and... start studying more about dogs. Then I might be able to volunteer at Animal shelter.... thinking about studying to be a dog trainer. I wanted to see if anyone here is a professional dog trainer so i could ask some advice.. but I didn't get any response... Anyway.. it's just something.. I want to look into.

That's great! Seems like she is very nice and willing to "share" Guinness with you. Just start by reading books, maybe you can ask local dog trainers if you can intern with them.

Ya .. that is what I am thinking. Right now.. my work schedule is crazy and I spend too much time on commute.. so.. I want to get a driver license.. and make my life easier.. So right now I am going to study a bit.. and hopefully find someone whom I might be able to have hands-on training from...

| That's great Michiko that you will at least get to keep little Guinness. I'm sorry your landlord didn't answer, though. That's tough. Have you tried to do a google search for dog trainers or dog training schools???

ya... I have been looking around about dog trainer certification and training schools on net. It is hard to find good training schools... I am also looking for some books. I ordered two books to get to know about dog trainer profession... then I am gonna go from there. Yes I am so excited about having Guinness for Thanksgiving. I am more than excited.. thrilled. It was wonderful experience to dog sit Guinness, and I would love it! He is a very good yorkie... About my landlord not giving me a permission to have pets... I actually don't feel as upset as I was before. I am going to see if I can move next summer and I might want to get involved with local animal rescue league sometime soon so that I will have time to be around dogs.. SO I will see how things work out
