| For those of you who make your own bows Do you sew them by hand or machine? Which is better bands or clips? Did someone teach you or did you figure it out on your own? I just love crafting for my new baby. I have only had her a few weeks and have made her a harness vest and a pillow. |

| I have made my own bows, I sew them by hand... I like the clips better then bands but most of the bows i've made I have used bands. lol I also make non slip clips for kids and use clips with those, I use hot glue on them and hand sew as well

| snap clips! i make snap clips because they stay on well and is easy to put on i add thin strips of foam to the outer rim of the clip (where you twist the ribbon around) it helps to secure their thin silky hairs onto the clip by A LOT here's a link to how to make it https://www.theribbonretreat.com/cus...dSnapClips.pdf |

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | I have just started to make bows for Tia myself. I love it as I get to choose the ribbons and the pom poms . I hand sew the pom poms to the ribbon and also sew the band in the middle. They are not brilliant but I love the fact shes wearing something Ive made. Had lots of good comments about her bows from people passing. Anyway heres a couple of pics. Not sure Tia is totally happy with my choice lol This is my fav one.

| I make bows (well started) and I learned myself by looking online and doing research. I use bands because anything else is a choking hazard for the baby. I also hand sew them because....well......I dont have a sewing machine. Here are some of the ones I made. They arent great but theyll do.

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | I wouldn't use the clips on Tia though ,bit worried if it comes out she might swallow it .On some occasions I have come home and found her bow on the floor.

| TY for the compliments yorkie_mad and shellygirl. Here is a link that I found merely by accident that is a GREAT how to for a number of different kinds of bows. You have to alter the lengths for dogs but the method is still the same. Free Hair Bow Instructions: hairbow free directions, hair bow business work at home

| I make bows too!! I havent done them for puppy dogs yet (but SOON WILL BE! YAY) though I do for KIDDOS! I make them for my daughter who had VERY thin baby hair (very similar to yorkie actually). I would use ALLIGATOR CLIPS! You can get small ones and they are light and hold tight. I cover the clips with ribbon and hot glue gun. Then I tie the bows on after folding them with tooth floss. THen cover that with and secure with more hot glue. I gett most of my supplies on ebay! Buy a bag of alligator clips
