| Is he a purebreed Yorkie? So my Toby is now 5 months and he is 8lbs! I am starting to wonder if he really is a purebreed.. I've seen yorkies that are 4,5lbs fully grown and Toby is getting bigger and bigger and he is only 5 months old! Here are some pictures of him, what do you guys think? His ears don't stand up either...When we bought him the people gave us papers but I doubt he is AKC yorkie..he just don't look quite like a purebreed yorkie [img=http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/9236/dsc02074n.th.jpg] http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/8000/dsc02229d.jpg

| He looks like a yorkie to me. My female yorkie ranges between 8 and 9 pounds. Her parents were much smaller. Sometimes they just grow bigger. More to love!!! I've seen a lot of posters here with larger yorkies.

| He looks like a purebred Yorkie to me. My 18 m.o. 7lb. Yorkie Baron has 1 ear that stands up 3/4 of the way and the other is only 1/2 way up. My newest Yorkie is a 17 m.o. 9 lb. Female named Sophie Kennedy. Both of her ears are completely flopped over. They say that you should shave or tape their ears to get them to stand up. If they're teething it takes longer for them to stand too! I love their floppy little ears. Both of mine are purebred Yorkies. I love them just the way they are...

| He is such a cutie! Were you able to see both the parents of the puppies? Has he always had the curly hair? I noticed on his back his hair was really curly. If you shaved his ears , they would probably stand up. The hair is to heavy on his ears , that makes it hard for him to hold them up. Both sides of his ears need to be shave 3/4 . What is your puppies coat texture like? He really looks like a Yorkie to me, the only thing I wonder about is the curls he has. KInd of makes me think of a Yorkie-POO? I am probably way off though .

| ive personally seen yorkies from 3lbs up to 20lbs sense ive started working at the local vet mines about 13 lbs now maybe less he was 8 lbs before i got him neutered! also i DID put my foot in my mouth and post i thought a yorkie puppy was a mix because it had a white spot on its chest which was rude of me and absolutely wrong! they come in all shapes sizes and colours they are all beautiful and all deserve to be loved bunches!

| HUn, I do not know> That was only a guess . He is so beautiful regardless . To me he looks more a Yorkie then anything else . I only noticed all the curls , and that is what got me to thinking. I am very sorry, I did not want you angry. He is so precious. I doubt anybody realy is going to be able to tell the difference > What matters is that you love him .

| Looks just like my purebred yorkie! Mine is a little bit larger as well, but don't worry! He's still just a little one!
