| May be getting another. It's a little crazy but I was on petfinder and found a Chocolate Yorkie Pup and inquired. I was really taken by him. And, he's located right here in NJ. I'm a little skeptical because you hardly see puppies in rescue but this place seems legite. They even have a hospice for the sick older dogs. I'm waiting to hear back about application and adoption fee. They had no fees listed but they did say he was neutered so I'm assuming a pediatric neuter like my Lilly had at 13 week prior to adopting her. I'll let everyone know how I make out. I have five but they are well taken care of and I think I have room for one more. I've always loved the chocolate color but just could not bring myself to buy since my heart is with rescue. Elaine |

| Thanks guys. It's really going to depend on whether I feel that this is a legitimate rescue or not. I'm finding so many brokers now posing as rescues. Makes me sick. I'll know right away just by the answers I get back. I have not filled out the application yet. Just inquired. I don't think I'll have a problem being approved except for the fact that I do have five and some may think that that is enough. I myself would be cautious approving someone with five Yorkies but I do think that they have to judge individually. I take better care of my five then some do their one and they all get equal and plenty of attention. They are like our kids. Thanks again for all your good well wishes. I told hubby and he didn't say yes or no. He's learned a long time ago that what he says isn't going to matter, so he just goes with it. LOL. And the best part is they all end up sitting on his lap. Ha. Elaine |

| Is it Tootsie Roll? The link is to a rescue in Middletown NY, but the Petfinder city is Fort Lee NJ. Hope it works out. He's cute.

Yes, it is Tootsie Roll. My bad I had not realized that he was located in Middletown NY. I saw Fort Lee but was so excited that I had not noticed that that was not the location. Either way we have GPS, so if they are open to adopting to out of towners I'd still be willing to travel. I have not heard anything back yet but I'm going to go on their site again and see what they say about adopting out of state. Thanks for pointing the location out to me. Elaine | |
