YorkieTalk Newbie! | Suggestions on Shaving a Yorkie... I have two yorkie puppies, my fiance and I shaved the 5 month old the other day and after much trial and error we finally finished. We wanted to start off doing it ourselves to save money in the long run. We found it very difficult to shave the legs, ears, and face since we didn't really know what we were doing. Does anyone have suggestions on a technique that works best? Any information would be much appreciated to insure next time will run along more smoothly. Thanks so much!! -Jen |

| I shave Buddy's back and belly and around his butt and penis area. His legs, head and face I leave longer. Check him out. Maybe you would like this cut, it's easier and they still look like Yorkies and are cool in the summer. |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Thanks so much, that definitely helps! We shaved his legs too and it looks kinda silly but its just hair, it'll grow back You puppy looks just like Deacon our 6 month old, he is adorable! Thanks for the suggestions. How do you cut the hair on his face and ears without it looking stupid?? |

| My husband & I have 2 yorkies and groom them at home as well. They're 7 months old now & have been through a couple of haircuts. For us, it's definitely a 2-person job and it does take us quite a while. One of us holds & entertains the puppy, and the other one uses the shaver & scissors. For us, the face has been challenging, but we have just been using scissors around their faces, legs, and any other tender areas. We have been contemplating user a shaver on & around the face more but are somewhat unsure about that as well. Sometimes it looks choppy with the scissors, but I think it will get better over time. Good luck!!
