Help with mourkie behavior problems! Hello, I recently got 2 puppie mourkies who are about 3 1/2 months old. One is a girl and one is a boy and they are from the same litter. I have had them for about 4 days now and they love playing with eachother. recently though I noticed that the boy is getting a little rough when he plays with the girl. Sometimes they will tackle eachother and growl, which is normal but the boy will start doing unfair things like pulling her by the paw and her ear. A few times she has even started yalping like if she is getting hurt and thats when I step in and stop them. I have never had 2 dogs at once so Im not sure if they are still playing with eachother or fighting. I even thought they may be seeing which one is the dominent one, but when the girl starts yalping the boy doesnt seem to stop or let off her. Even when the girl stops and starts to walk away the boy just gets a running start and it starts all over again. It just makes me really nervous to see her get hurt and me not do anything about it. I dont know if this is still considered play or fighting or if I should punish them or let them be.I've also never had a yorkie mix. The last dog I had was pure bred maltese, so mabye I'm not as familiar with their personality. Please let me know if this is normal or any suggestions with what I should be doing. Thanks!

Playing or Fighting My Dorkie is 3 months old and regularly jumps on my 2 doxies. She even bites them at the base of their tails if they won't play with her. Henry, who is a 20 lb. doxie, barks at her if she goes after Kyra (13 lbs) and makes her stop being so rough. She is very active and playful, but I have to watch her because she gets a little too playful. I think it's just their age; they'll calm down, but watch if they get too rough so they don't accidentally hurt each other.

Yea thats what I was afriad of, them accidently hurting one another. Ok, I'll keep an eye out for them then. I don't think he intentionally does, just needs to learn he needs to be a little easy on her sister Another thing I noticed, was whenever the girl or the boy goes to get food the other one will try to go after them and take it from eachothers mouth. But I stop them and then they go get food on their own. I'm glad to have two of them this time so they have a companion to play with. Sometimes it gets hard to take them to go to the bathroom though cause they jump around together at night instead of going. Then when I try to take one at a time they dont do anthing and will start to cry. But I'm sure theyll get used to knowing when its time to play and go to the bathroom. Thanks for the help!

Just keep an eye on them---sounds fairly normal! Maybe they can have some alone time during part of the day to calm things down??
