| Sleeping w/your Yorkie I see so many, here, who have their babies sleep w/them @ night, and wonder if there are any issues of falling/jumping off the bed...Apple is almost 7 mo. old and weighs 4 lbs. 3 oz. and I don't think it would be safe for her to jump or fall off the bed...I know you use ramps and ottomons and such, but I would have to completely surround the bed to feel safe for her...Are you waiting until they're older or how do ya'll do this? | Both Brody and Rhianna sleep with us. Brody started sleeping with us when he was about 7 months old and Rhianna (we got her at 6 months old) was on our bed the first night we got her. They have never fallen off the bed. They know that when it is night night time they just come up on the bed and find their spots and that is it for the night . . .

| All 3 of ours sleep with us...err...I mean...we are allowed to sleep in the bed with our 3. And it's not them that run the risk of falling out of bed, it's me. Basically they sleep between my DH and I so they aren't near the beds edge. I've woke up many times to find I've got one of my feet supporting me on the floor so that I don't fall out. It is amazing how much room a 4 lb Yorkie thinks she needs to sleep. They can curl up into the tiniest little balls during the day to nap, but come night time they apparently have to stretch out full length crosswise on the bed. If we could get them to sleep in the same direction as we do it would be a lot more comfortable.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Morgan started sleeping with me when she was at least a year. She was too small and i was scared i was gonna crush her. If i roll on her a little she doesn't make a peep or move. Most of the time tho she sleeps at the end of the bed in the comforters

| Ellie sleeps with me and doesn't fall out of bed. I'm pretty sure that I pushed her off the couch on accident when I was sleeping one time though. She survived it. She is not at all fragile though (for a Yorkie) and I'm not sure I"d want to sleep with a 3 pounder or a pup.

| Luckily, Roman is big and agile enough to jump on and off my bed fairly safely. We're still sleeping with Mallie on the couch, so the jump isn't as far for her. She'll try to jump, and she can sometimes...but she's still so small, it worries me

I have stairs at my sofa so they don't jump if any of you have a Fred's discount store they are not expensive $18.to $20. and very light weight but work great Betty & Micah my love |

YT 500 Club Member | Sophie started sleeping with us when she was well over a year old. I wanted to be sure that she was well potty trained before I would let her be free in our bedroom while we were asleep. By then she weighed about seven pounds, and we have had a stool for her to use to get up and down from the bed. We have noticed that she will sleep all night with us during the winter, but once the weather begins to get warmer, she will jump down and sleep on the floor for a time. Usually we find her in bed with us in the morning. She does very well in our bed.

| Our 7lb-er sleeps with us. I wouldn't feel comfortable with our 3lb-er sleeping with us though. With he 7lb one we certainly don't encourage him to jump off of the bed, but if he does I don't freak because he isn't fragile by any means. We've never accidentally pushed him off, or rolled on him, he usually sleeps right above my head all night.

| Bayli has been sleeping with me since she was about 4 months old (2.3 lbs). The first week she slept with me I woke up many times throughout the night to make sure she was okay and I hadn't rolled over on her. Luckily, one side of my bed is against the wall so she sleeps on that side. Now she's two months older and about 1.5 lbs heavier and takes up the majority of the bed. But it's easy for me because has stairs to go and up and down when she pleases. I would say just try to keep your pup from the waist up so in case your feet move around they won't get thrown off.

| Raindrop was so little when got her that I slept on the couch with her on my chest, and the playpen next to me. It was just as if I had a human baby. So sweet and beautiful. Then she slept in the playpen beside my bed, and when she was able to climb up the 4 steps I have for the babies, then she was able to sleep in the bed. I have never had any trouble with any of them falling off the bed.(4 sleep with me, 1 sleeps with Jackie) Good thing I have a queen size bed. But they all have their own special place to sleep. Rocky will sleep on the pillow next to me, and if he is not there, Raindrop is. LOL!

| Well I just felt I could trust him not to chew on things recently so I have let him out to sleep whereever he wants at night. Just so happens he choses to sleep with me. He isn't small like 4 or 5 pounds and jumps around like crazy dog so I am not concerned at all |

| molly sleeps with me and weighs about 4.3lbs too! she likes to be on my legs if i'm on my back but i usually move her cuz that isn't comfortable so she then goes behind my knees in the crook. she jumps off the bed with ease but i probably should put something so its not as far of a jump. She has never fallen off and i have never rolled over on her...she's my little sleeping buddy
