| Ramsey and the Swiffer Duster Does anyone else's Yorkie go crazy when you dust with a Swiffer? As soon as Ramsey sees me get it out of the closet he goes nuts! He chases it all around and makes dusting a game. It's particularly difficult to dust the bottom shelf of the coffee table because he keeps nabbing onto it. |

| Not just the swiffer, but also the vacuum, the broom, anything that makes a weird noise on the floor. And if she's around when I pull out the yard trimmer, she goes into a crouch and wants to attack the moment I grab the starter handle! I make sure she's far away when I use the trimmer. |

| Omg, I didn't realize how common these behaviors were in Yorkies lol. I'm so glad Jackson doesn't do these things. I feel like it'd be cute at first but get old REAL fast. There was a Dog Whisperer episode with a Yorkie who did all these things...

YT 1000 Club Member | Roxie goes nuts when we wheel the garbage bins down to the end of the driveway or back up. She jumps on our legs and barks at the bins the whole way. The gas grill too when we wheel it out! Silly little dogs! She stays clear of anything that makes loud noises such as, mower, vaccum etc.

| Glad it's not only Ramsey. It's funny, but you don't want to be in a hurry when you're dusting or it could be annoying. LOL He's also started barking like crazy when someone rings the doorbell. He just started that this week. I think it scares him. |

| broom, swifter, mop Carlie goes nuts and attacks the broom, swifter or mop. Then Rocky the yorkie-poo jumps in and barks at Carlie for barking and attacking. He tries to pull her away, between the two barking and carrying on it is almost too much.

| Was just outside fixing the lawnmower and yep, as soon as the wheels made a little noise she attacked. It wasn't even running. And she didn't like the noise the ratchet wrench made that I had in my hand. Also, if I drag a box on the floor she has a fit. Might be sensitive hearing. Last night she woke up from her nap on the back of the couch and had a fit at the deer walking through the backyard. Same thing with squirrels, even if they're 100 feet away. It's almost like a sixth sense. |

| Yep! Marley chases me around the house when I am dusting with it. Also she is terrified of this bicycle that parks right around the corner of our building LoL its quite funny when i take her out to use the potty, shes all prancing around until we get to the corner. she sees it and jumps like 5 feet and hovers to the ground to check it out making sure not to get too close .. ohh i love her

| We don't have a swifter, and Suzi hates the vaccume. She runs into my bedroom every time I use it. I know it is the noise that scares her. However, the broom, and mops , paper towels are all fair game to her. She is also very good at barking in the middle of the night at Nothing , in the window... I will look outside, to see what is going on out there? And there is not a thing Little stinker! Things that go bump in the night outside? that only she can hear, and bother my little one it's Wonderful at 3am ! Oh well

| I don't mean this in a mean way at all... so I hope nobody takes me the wrong way... but am I the only one on this board who doesn't find this behavior "cute?" I mean, I think it'd be really hilarious at first to see a tiny little pup going after a big broom or something, but I would never live with a dog that did it and allow that to happen but maybe that's just me. I would've stopped that behavior immediately. My dad's dog (jack russell/shihtzu mix) does this with the lawnmower and it is the most annoying thing in the WORLD!
