| Yorkies are so smart! Funny little story here. Outline... Penny is kept in a 3x6' pen in the room off of our kitchen at night. Last Saturday my husband got up and Penny was loose, he thought I didn't put her in the pen when I went to bed. So, he put her back in the pen before he went outside to mow the lawn. A few minutes later he heard scratching at the door, opened it up and there was Penny! This little monkey can climb out of the pen! Just to make sure he put her back in there and shut the door, sure enough, scratching again! Now she has to sleep in a cage (she doesn't like it). Are Yorkies natural climbers? I've had poodles for years and none of them climbed that gate this young (one did manage to figure out how to climb it, but it took her years). |

| It would seem that if the situation called for it, a lot of our yorkies prove themselves to be great climbers, jumpers, diggers, and flat-as-a-pancake crawlers/sliders. |
