| Welcome HI Jam, Welcome! This site is a great wealth of information on your yorkie! I just got Lexie about 5 weeks ago. I had her groomed and her ears stick up great! The trick, so I am told, is to clip the hair on their ears a certain way. It works because her's look good. Lexie will be 4 months old tomorrow. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome and congratulations!! A lot of times if you have the hair on the ears shaved they will stand up. Any groomer can quickly do it for you or show you how.

| Welcome and congratulations on your new Yorkie! Trimming the top triangle of their ears should help getting them to stand unless she is a hereditary floppy ear dog. They can be cute too just not to standard. This is a great site to learn and share about our Yorkies!

| I'm new Thanks everyone for your help. Hershey went to the groomers today to get her ears trimmed. They said, it was to late for her ears to stand up. But to my surprise, after they trimmed them, she's been able to get them up on her own. They have a slight bent to them though. As soon as I learn how to add the pics..I'll post her picture. Also, when I bought her, the top of head was white, including her face, now her face is turning tan. I thought she would turn grey, but it looks like she's turning tan and the black on her back is fading to a grey. Wow! |

| Hi Jam & Hershey! 4 month old is not too late for the ears to stand up. Just keep them trimmed to keep the weight of the hair off her ears and they should be just fine. Yogi (he's my avatar) has a ton of hair and I actually have to keep his ears trimmed nearly to the base right now or they'll flop. Also, you may see them sort of fall during her teething times, so don't be too alarmed if that should happen. Can't wait to see pictures of your sweetie!!
