| Saint or Holy Terror? I just wanted to know if you had a little angel at home, or is he the devil in a little fur coat? Everyone's pup does something they love and something they can't stand. I want to know what makes you love these little ones, even when they're showing their tail. Ziggy: Pro: I love Zigs; he does the oddest things though. He gets fed in the morning before work and when I get home I lay on the floor with him to play. Well he'll walk over to his food bowl, and get a few pieces then jump up on my back and continue eating. He's been doing this a while now, so I just hand him food when he's up there so he won't fall off trying to get down. He loves to sit on my lap, on my arms, anywhere he can get when he's got something in his mouth. Con: He hates to be brushed. Its probably his worst part of the day. I can put the brush to him and he'll holler and wiggle, like it was a branding iron instead of a little brush. He'll bite me the entire time. I correct the biting, but otherwise I tell him what a good boy he is, and afterward he gets his treat. Then he'll go get a toy and want to climb in my lap and all is forgiven. |

| Sounds like you are a wonderful Mommy. Both of my boys, Gizmo and Barkley, are perfect little angels. They really are very good boys. Barkley's only bad habit is he likes to get Kleenex out of the waste basket, only when we are gone, and decorate the rugs with them. We have hardwood floors all thru our house and instead of tearing them up on the floor, he takes them to the rugs to tear up. He also hates to have his face washed when I give them a bath. Gizmo has been the perfect baby..

| Come on... No one else wants to share? It usually doesn't take much prodding to get you guys to brag/vent about your furkids. What have they been doing lately? |

| Both of mine are angels except when the ice cream man comes down the street and they want me to get them an ice cream. Then they are devils. Also when the mailman comes by

YT 2000 Club Member | Jasmine is a sweetheart until today! I thought I would take her for a walk. She is almost 5 months old and only weighs 2 pounds. Before anyone begins........no, we did not look for a little yorkie, we were told she would prob. be about the size of her parents, 5 pounds.........still praying she will put on the pounds. Anyway back to my story. Like I was saying I was going to take Jasmine for a walk, she has been on walks before. I decided to leave her sister, Prissy seven year old poodle home today. I put her harness on, got the leash and away we went out the gate. When I put Jasmine down, she straightened her forelegs and they grew roots into the ground! Just like my dreaded Monkey Grass, Jasmine had planted herself and refused to budge. I attempted to coaxe her, tempt her, plead with her, even shamefully gently tugged on her leash.........all this in vain. This only proved that Jasmine had this grown woman in her itty pitty paw. We turned around, after looking to see if any neighbors were watching, went back to get Prissy to see if taking her sister would tempt her to walk down the street. Let's just say..........I surrender! I carried Jasmine down the street and I now know what a dog looks like when they are "smug".

| Mine is a little devil in disguise! She steals things and hides them. She takes all of the cats toys. She bosses me and the cat around. Yep, I love her and wouldn't have it any other way. She is a liitle stinker and keeps us laughing all the time.

| Well, we are trying to bell train Bluebelle. Unfortunately, today she has decided to pee on my rug and ring the bell after she has done that! Twice, in the space of 10 minutes to cook a steak! Little weasel! |

| I would say like your Ziggy, my pup is about half and half. He has his moments when he's the sweetest dog you could ever ask for, like when he's watching Spongebob intently, or when he's trying to protect me from the monster that is my bike. Other times I can't get him to calm down, he's running around like crazy, he's running between my legs trying to trip me. But he's still a puppy, so maybe it's one of those things that they'll calm down with age. |

| I've been seeing a lot of negative posts lately (about sickness or abuse), so I'm bumping this old thread in an attempt to get some good old fashioned "FUN" yorkie stories. Ladies and gentlemen, take it from here....

| Hmmm... Jackson's CLOSE to an angel, but not quite. He has his quirks. Pros about Jackson: He's a wonderful walker, he walks right beside me, enjoying everything. He loves the car. He loves children. He absolutely LOVES all other dogs. He's not a huge barker and when he does bark, I can usually get him quiet quickly. He does all sorts of fun little tricks I taught him. He sleeps beside me on the bed all night long. He gives just enough love but has just enough independence. He's good with baths. He's a perfect little companion. Cons: When we visit at my dad's house, it's when he's the "worst" even though he's not bad over there, I think he's influenced by my dad's two dogs, who aren't the greatest. He's so wired over there and is just so excited, he never lays down, he will bark at the other dogs to get them to play, he chases the cats, he begs BAD for food, he's a horrible sleeper over there. Those are mainly his cons. I don't totally blame him either for some of those cons. Begging is my dad's fault, and the barking is the other dogs faults lol!

| LOL good thread Izzy: Pros: She's so easy-going, just a chill doggy Always gives kisses and loves to cuddle Cons: She's an incredible escape artist, and it took us a good YEAR to correct any security issues with her We have a wooden basket-weave fence (hubby custom built) and she would climb through that. So hubby put chicken wire on the outside of the fence, but only halfway She would just climb between the boards until she could jump out, the little stinker. So we ended up having to put more wire on the inside. We also had to block off the end of the deck where the pool pump is, she would go under the deck and not come out for anything! Ugh, she scared me so many times. She also chewed up anything that wasn't nailed down, but she's better now, finally! Luna: Pros: She is a real cuddle-bug, and has to be with you at all times. Especially attached to her Daddy. She listens so well, 99% of the time, such a good girl And she does the tongue thing, she'll just be laying/sitting, with her tiny pink tongue sticking out a bit SO cute! Cons: She is super aggressive toward bigger dogs, will snarl and snap! Nothing we've done has gotten her to quit, so we have to supervise her very closely when there is a big doggy visiting us. It's kind of funny to see the larger dogs roll over and submit to Her Royal Highness, only to be rejected. She's just scared, I think. Oh, and trying to brush her makes me feel like I have one hand tied behind my back What a demon she can be!
