| I have a harness for Ramsey. I was afraid of having a regular collar on his tiny little neck. |

| I only use a collar to put on him when we go somewhere where he needs to have his tags on (like dog park). To use with a leash, I am with the above post, I only use a harness. All that pulling is too tough on the little neck and throat. I am scared to death of collapsed trachea. But he does have the cutest collar with skulls and spikes on it! He is a tough Yorkie!!! I got it on etsy.com, they have some cute original stuff on there.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Morgan has a few collars. She is currently sporting a chrome bones pink alligator collar with her tags on it. She also has a coach collar. WHen she was a baby i put a break away cat collar on her with a bell which i got from petco. it doesn't matter what type of collar you get her, what matters is how it fits. make sure its not loose enough to get caught on anything or get caught in their mouth. a well fitted collar is perfectly fine for them to wear every day. just don't walk them with it. always use a harness for that.

| Just about any regular collar would be okay for tags. Some prefer the breakaway type. Always use only a harness to walk.

| I like the Lulu pink (fm Walmart) collars for Mimi & Max-a-Million ones for Momo. It's got those easy snap on/off thingys. I only put it on them when we go out cuz it has their I.D. tags on it & we use harnesses 4 the lead too.

| Jackson's pretty much always wearing his collar with tags. Just in case. Plus, whenever I take it off, I seem to forget to put it back on! So, it usually stays on all the time minus bath time! He walks with a harness but his collar stays on. He's got a few collars... I bought him two at Petsmart and one online on eBay!

| We just put the tags on our's harnesses. I don't want to risk anything happening with a collar. You can get personalized tags at almost any pet store. Even vets have tags alot of the time. Our puppy starter kit from the vet had a tag in it.

| I use cat collars (the break away kind) on Mia. I get thema t Petco. She just got her third one yesterday. She is only 4 months. She has to have a bell (so I can keep track of her) and her tags. She also wears a harness if she goes outside or for walks. The collar is just for looks and to hold her tags.

| I have a harness and attached the ID tag onto the ring on her back where you hook the leash. Its the best place because she can't reach it! |

| Mine do not leave the bathroom (after baths) without collars+tags. They always wear their collars. They potty outside and are out there on leashes 10 times a day and it's more possible to slip out of a harness than a collar. I have personally found THREE dogs in this neighborhood wearing NO collars and have had to scramble to find their owners. They wear simple, lightweight Premier nylon quick snap collars. Sammy's is a 6-9" 3/8" and Loki's is a 10-14" 1/2". Tags are from Boomerangtags and say "needs meds" It's true, especially for Loki who gets twice daily meds he could die without, but also it makes people more likely to find you quickly and not be tempted to keep your dog. I love to look at all the pretty collars out there for little dogs, but I have no desire to make them wear a heavy, thick collar. Especially leather! |
