Donating YT 10K Club Member | I wasn't part of the planning committee...but I did attend one in NC. It was held INSIDE a rented building to eliminate the possibility of bad weather, we had a behavorist as a speaker, door prizes which had been donated, we each brought a "dish" to share, and it lasted from 12 - 4. Hth.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | The fee was around 10 bucks...and there weren't enough attendees for the organizer to make back all the expenses.

| so you had a speaker and just play time? or were there other activities? Do you think it has to be in a rented facility or can it be at someone's home?

No, it doesn't have to be some rented facility...she had held one before...made loads of plans and it rained....so the next time she eliminated that possibility. I know people who've gone to meet ups at parks too.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | There were pics from some meet up held in a park...the owners each brought out their x pens and just hooked them all together. That way the dogs could play freely and no worries about other dogs if you went to a dog park.

| I organized a meetup here in Ohio at our local park. We did have everyone that had x-pens bring them and hooked them up together. We had a shelter just in case the weather got bad. I charged 10 or 15 to help cover costs of shelter and most the food and everyone brought a dish to share. I also made sure everyone that came had a gift bag and the first three people that showed up got a special treat jar. We had fun, it was a beautiful day and my nephew was also born that day so I had to miss the first part of the meetup while my hubby filled in for me. But it turned out great. If you need any help let me know I'd more than happy to answer any questions!! I'm attaching a picture of the meetup, this was taken after some of the people had already left, we forgot to get the group picture lol.

| There are several dog parks or dog friendly parks in The Woodlands, also one of the pet spa's (Pink Poodle) in Old Town Spring has an indoor area available for meet-ups. The same is true of Kingwood, Jaime at Pampered Paws has let us have meetups at her store too. Good luck, with a little planning it's a blast! Heres a link that might help: The Woodlands Dog Park Club |
