| Craziest/Oddest Yorkie Behavior Ever!? Around 9pm every night my awesome yorkie Kenji goes nuts and starts to zip around the room barking and going crazy! He's also learned this bizarre new way of communicating with me when we play fetch... he comes up to me with the chew toy and sort of heaves it up in the air as if to throw it in my direction. I'll look at him and go, "what, you wanna play?" and he'll do this small whimper/growl hybrid, but in a high pitched voice...I guess it's him asking me to throw the toy so he can fetch it. My little Kenj is definitely a character!!! Anyone else with crazy/funny yorkie behavior stories? |

| Every morning after I take my Brandi out for her potty.....she makes a mad dash to my closet to get one of my socks (now her socks) and she walks around the house for about 20 minutes with a sock in her mouth. She just started this weird habit....harmless but really cute. |

Yorkies are truly a breed all their own. I am not sure they are 100% dog. They act like 4 legged fur humans! It is like having a perpetual 2 year old in the house.

| I don't think any other breed does what Yorkies do. These little ones know exactally what they want and also know how to get their point across to you to tell you. They are just too smart for their own good |

| Remy loves to play fetch. We either play with a mini tennis ball or one of his squeaky toys and we typically play twice a day - morning and evening. When he is ready to play he will bring the toy over to me, lay down flat on the floor with the toy in front of him, mouth partially open and half barks to get my attention. That is not the crazy part... Last night in the middle of our fetch game, I threw his toy and he ran to get it. Instead of bringing it back, he picked it up, carried it further away and dropped it. Then he turned an ran to me, jumped up on my chest with his front paws (I was sitting on the floor) and half-barked. He proceeded to lay flat on the floor waiting for me.. when I did not move, he ran to the toy, picked it up, carried it further away, dropped it, ran back to me and jumped up again and half barked.... you could see him saying "Now YOU Fetch" |

| Rosie loves to play too - not odd, but cute - she has this toy bomb and she goes wild throwing that thing around to hear the explosion noise. Now for the odd, she must sit on something - not the floor, but she must put her behind on a pillow, a foot, a shoe, something. It's like she feels that to be ladylike, she must sit on a chair of some kind.

| I couldn't agree with you more. I've grown up with a cocker spaniel, pekingese, black lab, staffordshire, but no dog is more personable and has more spunk than a yorkie. they are an incredibly smart breed. they're very quick to communicate with their owner. and the whimpering while the sock is in their mouth... yorkie without a doubt!! |

| It's true these little dogs are very intelligent... my baby every night takes his little lovey dog in his mouth and jumps up on my bed and onto my hubby's belly and starts to push the lovey to my hubby so they could play with it together... he likes to chase after it and bring it back to hubby and do it all over again... he starts running around so fast and crazy... .. I love it I just sit back and laugh at him cause he's so dam cute...

Senior Yorkie Talker | My little Hannah has this crazy thing about running in a constant circle when she wants me to pick her up and cuddle. My hubby thinks this is hilarious as she runs really fast and only "goes in the one direction" just like they do in the NASCAR races.

And she will carry them in her favorite spot where she lays her toys. Sometimes she will whimper like that wanting me to pick her up in bed with me ..but she always in bed with me and she has no trouble doing that ....I just guess she wants me to get her lol |
