| collars and harnesses so i know to walk Toby to use a harness and whenever we go outside and he is on his leash, harness it is. i also bought him a collar, but in the almost three weeks he has been home has yet to wear it. What do you all hook their ID tags to? The harness or the collar? Should I have him wear both? As of now he just wears the harness all day, i only really take it off if he is in his crate... |

| Jackson usually ALWAYS wears his collar with his tags on it. It doesn't bother him at all. I walk him on the harness but leave the collar on as well. I just feel safer knowing he has that extra security ID IF he were ever to get away from me. He's also microchipped. Plus I like buying him collars for decorative purposes

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Morgan has worn a collar with her tags on it since day one. Its properly fitted so no problems will arise. She's never had a problem with it. I use a harness to walk her though

| Lol, I understand! How old is he? I put a collar on Jackson during the first week of having him home. I definitely would try to get little Toby used to the collar now rather than later if you're going to have him wear one. He may try to bite at it or be annoyed at first but he will get used to it. I sometimes take the collar off of Jackson at nighttime just for comfort purposes. He doesn't go in the crate anymore so I don't worry about that but I would definitely take it off while he goes in there like you said, so it doesn't get stuck while you're not home. Also, make sure it's not too lose (or too tight).
