| I too want a girl so that I may dress her up and put bows in her hair... and shower her in pink and Juicy Couture. But I think I would also want a baby boy some time after I get a female. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i was so set on getting a little boy. I went to the breeders house and was looking at the little pile of puppies. The breeder picked one from the pile and placed her in my hands and that was that. it happened to be a little girl, but i was sold.

| Well, basically, I've had girl dogs all my life. I've always personally wanted a little boy dog! I like the whole concept of "mama's boy!" I don't know - something just made me stick to my guns of wanting a boy! I looked at a girl originally but kept going back to this little boy's picture (Jackson). I'm very happy with my decision My next will probably be a boy as well.

| I fell in love with copper's face first it didn't matter if her was a girl or a boy. I did want a boy though because I had read that they are sweeter and want to be with you more. He is very sweet. Then a got Rocket as a friend for Copper, they were fast friends and Rocky was even more of a Momma's boy than Copper. When Rocky died I got Maddie, I wanted a dog who didn't remind me too much of my sweet boy, so I got a girl. Well, go figure she acts like the sassier version of my sweet Rocket, she reminds me so much of him and they share alot of the same dogs in there pedigree and alot of the same silly habbits Any way, I love my boys they are sweet and playful. My girl is fiesty and fun, but also very sweet. Copper and Maddie are very cute together, he is always looking for her and making sure she isn't anywhere she isn't supposed to be, kind of like a big bro. Or he will bring her a bullie and let her eat first. I dress them all. Copper has more Juicy than mommy and Maddie hasn't grown big enough for most of the designer things yet.

| I had originally wanted a boy... but I did some research and went and visited Couver... and I was sold! I fell in love with his personality and he is more loving than any female dog I have ever had. I do hope to eventually get a female because I hear it is best to have a boy/girl combo. I cannot wait to get another!

| I picked Missy purely because of her cute little face, whether she was a girl or boy didn't matter a bit. But, I would like my next (yes DH, I said NEXT) to be a little boy

| I was the only female in an all male household. I have 4 boys(two sets of twins) and my husband who makes 5. I wanted something on my side of the hormones! Last edited by postalmom1987; 05-01-2009 at 05:45 PM. Reason: spelling |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I always wanted a girl but ended up with boys. Well this time around I got a girl and I love her to death. I wanted a girl because I to wanted to play with her hair in pigtails and I wanted to dress her up. I do these things occasionally but, Apple fights me on it. I even spray her with expensive purfume and she fights me on that but, She has no choice but to smell like a million bucks.

| We got a male because he was cheaper than a female, we did not intend to breed him, and just wanted a nice pet. Also, our last dog was a male. Zekie is a total nut with a great personality. He is totally social with both people and other animals. A big plus is that my husband loves him even though he did not want another dog because he was too attached to our last one that we had to have put to sleep when he was 15. |

| I can't say for sure why I wanted a boy, I just did. When I heard from the breeder that she had a new litter, 3 boys and 1 girl, I just fell in love with Riot at first glance!

| i wanted girls for the clothes and bows of course but actually i picked bentley our first because i read that boys have better personalities but then i saw miss buffey's pictures and knew i HAD to have her. after i got her, i knew i wanted more girls! i also like that girls are more independent. i cannot do the clingy thing all the time and my boys have always been clingy lol

| I got a girl because I already have a boy (not a Yorkie but whatever) and I just really wanted a girl. I don't care about the clothes or anything (although that's an added bonus). I just hope she's my snuggler.

| We've never picked a gender. We've had 2 girls, and 2 boys. They were all individuals, all loving, all great dogs. I attribute this to picking healthy, well socialized dogs. We see what a breeder has to offer, and sometimes walk away. If all the pups look good, we select based on personality--never gender.
