| Ms20 Hi I am new to yorkie talk and a new yorkie owner. I just adopted a 7 year old girl "ANGEL" . I just love her and am feeding her wellness but I do give her some people little bits when I'm eating because she is a begger. Is this wrong. Will it hurt her??? |

| Welcome to YT. I feed my guys Wellness. One problem with feeding little bits while you are eating is that once you start she'll always want something. So, you are now stuck for life. Try to minimize the bit feedings, & as long as she doesn't have a weight problem it should be okay.

| Hi I feed Wellness too. Its funny I was just telling my Hubby that I was glad our 2 aren't beggars, cause I probably would give in As long as you are staying away from foods that can harm, and you aren't giving alot I think it should be ok. I do give veggies and fruits to my 2 and they love them |

| Yes I agree that your furbaby will now keep bugging you for table scraps. I try not to look at mine when i eat and i will instead give her some of her treats. But when you look at their precious face how can you resist right lol

| Congrats on your new baby and Welcome to YT! My first yorkie (rip) got anything I ate (well almost) that was a bad habit I started with her. I have have 2 others and I they get nothing from the table when we are eating. They are not beggars. I do however give them string beans, cottage cheese etc. sometimes but it is on my time, in their dish. I just started on Wellness a couple of weeks ago and they both seem very happy with it. Have fun with your little Angel!

| Ms20 -thanks everyone Thanks for all the input. I will try my best not to give her what I'm eating but it's hard because I feel so bad. She is a wonderful dog, I can't believe someone gave her up. I have had her 6 weeks now and I couldn't even imagine my life without her. I found her on PETFINDER. Where I adopted her told me it was a girls dog and she went away to college and the father traveled alot, no mother. Everyone is so wonderful on YT and I'm really glad I joined because I know I will have questions that experienced owners can help me with. |

| I would just make sure that what you are giving her is safe. There is a list of "safe foods" on this website. There are foods on there that I never knew were bad for dogs, such as grapes and pork.

| WELCOME...& congrats on your new addition! My kidz are beggars but not to the point of being obnoxious. They really like mini carrots so they get those pretty often as treats. |

| Hello & to YT!!! Congratulations on your new baby. I found Barley on Petfinder as well ) It's a wonderful site!!! I just wish they'd have a rating system for the rescue groups located on there. My baby was with a rescue group and he was in terrible shape when I got him from them. But he's awesome now ;o) I'm so happy you rescued this baby so they didn't send her to a shelter or worse. ((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to you both! Isn't it amazing how quickly they take over your life?! Congrats again. Also, we love pictures here if you have any to share. and don't stress on the little bits of people food as long as they are safe for dogs and it's small amounts...If you're feeding quality food it shouldn't hurt her.
