| Wiping his feet???? Not really thou??? Why is he doing this? I've tried to catch it on camera a thousand times but I never know when or why he's doing it. I know my three yearold does it after he pees or marks his spot. But why is my little guy doing it? It is not a backing up ... getting excited ... play with me ... type thing. It is different. Anyone else's furkids do this? |

| Wrigley just started doing this. As in literally today. I guess when my husband took him out this morning he did it after going to the bathroom. He had never done it before, but I know it is a common thing for dogs. Well 3-4 times today I saw him do it in the living room. No reason, just started doing it. Sometimes I think they are just oddballs

| Kayla does it when she potties. We always know because here she comes doing her little thing and she also puts her head down and wipes her mouth. lol!!!!! I always thought just males did their little back legs like that. Maybe she thinks she is a boy. She thinks she is Alpha thats for sure. |

| My female does it also. She does it after going potty, but she also does it when she is playing. She will bring her ball to me, drop it and then kick her feet. She does it a lot.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | its a marking thing. Dogs have scent glands in their feet so when they are scratching and kicking their back feet around they are actually marking their area. its most popular to do after going to the bathroom because its like they are doubling their scents left behind.

| No. My little guy does it at random. No peeing/pooping. Just gets up or is mid walking around in the house and starts wiping his feet. It almost seems like he is doing it to warm his feet b/c he only does it on the carpet (rooms carpeted, everywhere else is tiled). |

| Mandie wipes her feet before she comes into the house after being outside. We have a little rug for people to wipe their feet on, but lately she has been copying us. It's cute. plus she has clean feet!!

| This is instictual with all dogs and has to do with them marking that they have been there Most dogs have scent glands in their feet and scratching the ground will alert other dogs that they have been there
