| Having accidents after neutering Vader was neutered a week ago...he is a year and a half old, and has been fully potty trained since about 5 mos old. Now, though, since his surgery he seems to be having a lot of accidents in the house. Yesterday I was standing in the kitchen and he walked in, looked at me, then calmly hiked his little leg and peed on the cabinets. If he hadn't been outside in a while I would be more understanding...but it had been less than an hour, and he never made any indication that he needed to go out again. So, my question is: Is it common to have a little less control right after neutering? and if so, will he eventually get to be more like himself and NOT whiz all over the house? |

| I believe it is common for male dogs to go a little crazy with the marking and such shortly after being neutered. After all, his hormones are screwed up right now. Usually within a month or so they go back to normal. Discourage any marking and keep up with a regular bathroom schedule and diet.

| We had to completely retrain Genghis after being neutered. Bringing him out like when we first got him. He's sort of better now (it's only been a month). He's having poo accidents. |
