| My two yorkies fight! This doesnt happen very often, but from time to time Charlie and Chloe start fighting really nastily (they play fight all the time, but this is distinctive, they are clearly being aggresive). Sometimes it starts over a bone or toy, which I understand..I usually just take the bone/toy away and separate them and say "BAD CHARLIE! BAD CHLOE!" and give them each a tap of the nose (I dont usually know who starts the fight so I punish them both)..but today i noticed Chloe (younger one) start growling and curling her lips, and then all of a sudden in less than a second they were fighting!! They sound SO vicious! I always intervene, but I read online somewhere that its best to let the fight continue and settle for themselves, but I get so scared they will hurt each other!! Does this happen with anyone else?! Do you intervene?! I dont know what to do!

| I like the way Cesar Milan deals with it. He puts both dogs on their sides or backs and holds them there until they relax. Once they relax and become submissive, he lets them around each other again so that the experience ends in a positive way.

Yes, thats exactly what I do when my boyfriend is around! (I love Cesar) but when my bf isnt home its very hard to flip them both on their back while they are trying to go at each other so I just hold them apart...but when he's around we def do that! Thanks for the advice! But i dont know why this continues to happen :/
