| Jackson's didn't stand up until about 4 months. It helped a lot when he got groomed and she shaved the tips of his ears.

| My George has really fluffly ears inside and out, when he goes for his next groom do they trim the inside of Yorky ears and how do they do it, I would hate the thought of accidently nicking his ears. If I don't get them trimmed will it make his ears drop and does it affect his hearing

| It doesn't sound like her ears have ever stood up....if that's the case you might try taping them for several days or so....that can help to make them stand up...If they aren't up after a week...then they will probably never stay up... Good luck...I'd do a search on "taping ears"....there are some threads that explain how to do it...and definately have the ears shaved...that does help... You will need to do it soon...because as they get older it will be too late...

| one of suki's ears started to stand on its own..her daddy massages her ears when they are resting from playtime..he's even more worried than me that the other ear wont stand up but i told him it would go when it wants to..i think it just takes time but either way its soooo cute!

| I just shaved Lilah's ears tonight. Should they just automatically stand up, meaning immediately, or will it take a few days? I've read some posters stating the ears stood up after shaving but how soon is that? Five minutes or five days? I realize every dog is different, I'm just looking for some examples. Thanks!!

| It took Laddy's ears a few days after we shaved them but the seemed like they just were up one day about half way and the rest of the way a couple days later. I do remember he would kind of hold them almost crossed in the middle after they started standing almost looked like he didnt have ears lol I almost panicked but as you can see from my avitar they are good and up and he is 7 and a half months now . He is the darker tinier one. CharleneMama to Laddy & Lolita |
